Could be a corrupt file, beta 3 download link is in my post, try a download (Its recovery only)
 
Overall impresion is that things work much smoother.

Still I have noticed that:
1) cammera does not work. When I try to run it, I get a message: unfortunatly, camera has stopped. (should I use the previous fix?)
2) wifi works.
3) There is no application for fm-radio (should I download it on the market?)
4) the bluetooth wifi headset does not work.
5) market works.

1. Mike knows the camera doesnt work, I think he has had some problems porting the drivers, and he wants to work on bug fixes because once the bugs are gone we will have a daily rom.

3. Just need to download a FM radio from the market.

4. Someone said that before, i'll put it on mike's bug tracker.

Make sure you have your data backed up, then copy the .zip file from the first post to your SD card. Boot into recovery and select the wipe data option. Then install the zip you copied to your SD card. Reboot and you're done! :D
 
Hi there, I'm currently using Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread SwiftDroid v2 ASIS, I was wondering whether or not it would be recommended to upgrade to this new IceCream Version, I know that there may be a few glitches within it, but would it be a good idea to upgrade to it?

Well that depends. If you really absolutely can't wait to get the latest version, then go for it! Read what's working and the bugs in the first post, the only thing that doesn't work really is the camera; so if you use the camera a lot, stick with SwiftDroid until the camera gets sorted. I recommend that you make a backup of your phone in recovery, that way if you don't like Ice Cream Sandwich, you can always restore back to SwiftDroid :)
 
No man I am tring to install from android 2.3.7 to android ice 4.0
I downloaded that zip file and rebooed my phone to recovey mode
then I selected update from zip file and selected downloaded zip file
and pressed the selection key but after few seconds it displayed updating package and suddenly displayed E can't
open sd card/downloa/.zip file installation aboard! :(
 
You need to resize the system partition to 200 MB. Download the SwiftBootloaderBuilder. You find some help on xda.

Mike is working on fixing the camera now, he just needs to get the driver working for it. Cam could be working in beta 4.

Its recommended 220MB system partition now, the fixes put in beta 3 have put it over 200MB and 200MB causes instability.
 
Disaster!!! the digitizer on mike's gt540 has broken, no word if he will keep deving for it or not yet.

Will keep you guys updated
