Root [UPDATED! 12/01/2012 BETA 4] Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich by mikegapinski

Hmm what size is your system partition? it needs to be 200 or 210 for preRC, also did you wipe data after you installed, it causes alot of problems if you don't, from bootloops to making the system really slow.
I am having internal memory 233 mb .is it enough for polish blood RC

Hello.

I bought a bluetooth headset today, and cant figure out how to get it to work so i can listen to audiobooks or anything of the sort. I use BTmono to get signal to my earpiece but all i hear is static with weak voice, or nothing at all for a long time. Is it maybe a problem with polishblood preRC or is it my earpiece or what could it be... I really need it to work since i walk on foot long milea-ge after work... and that way the time would pass better and faster >.>

Regards

I'm also having trouble with the bluetooth head set. Older versions have worked with BTMono, so if there is no other solution, you can try this versions...

Hey guys i want to know if it's efficient to install ICS on my phone lg gt540.

First off i got 2.3.7 Swift Droid 2.0 RC5(Based on CyanogenMod-7.1.0) and my lg is oc to 844Mhz ram 168mb 51mb available.

So if i understand correct everything works same or better except camera right? so no pictures and movies?

Any benchmarks that someone made on gingerbread and now ice cream sandwich? i don't see point instaling it if it will only increase number from 2 to 4...

And about instalation if i understand it it's going like this:

1.Download and put on sd card.
2.Press power off button and enter recovery.
3.Wipe data/factory reset. (This is needed if i upgrade from 2.3.x)
4.Install zip from sdcard.

Thanks for fast answear and seriously some benchmark before and after would be nice google diden't give me anything...

Edit: Forgot to ask update is planed or version from 12/01/2012 is last?

And while im waiting for replay please reupload link in first post is not working atm.

There are other bugs, native tethers do not work and battery life is not great (low usage you can make it last 1 day) but the core works very well, codecs are partly working and some people have had problems with galery, for that download quickpix (something like that) from market.

You will need atleast a 210 MB system partition resize partitions with this method http://androidforums.com/optimus-gt...600-easily-resize-system-data-partitions.html

And the link in OP is very outdated, currently PreRC is the latest version link is here:

Deposit Files and for google apps (they are not included) Deposit Files

I would recommend you go here for up to date versions this is Mike's blog and is where all links are posted:

Mike Gapinski Android Development | AndroidUS.pl | CyanogenMod 9 for LG Swift GT540 | Android 4.0

And the XDA thread is alot more active than this one, I personnaly hang out there alot more (come here about once a week compared to every day on XDA) [ROMS] Gingerbread, CyanogenMod 9 with 2.6.35.14 preRC, MIUI 2.2.24 Build One - xda-developers

And Mike posts there so you can get the latest info.

Wiped data, cache and dalvik? what size system partition you using? polishblood and AOKP need about 210MB and icecreamswift needs 170MB

These are the 2 main problems when it doesn't boot, and remember you need first boot always takes awhile.

Just so everyone here knows Mike has stopped development for the GT540, your only chance to get ICS is with Miroslav_mm and Devswift over at XDA now.
