Root [UPDATED] 4/16 Post your AnTuTu Benchmark for CTMod, CM7 and 187-MoD.

screenshot-1335427447306.png

Updated max score for cpu integer, cpu float-point, 3d graphics, and database IO as well as max overall score. Someone needs to break into Lordvincent's laboratory and get the secret sauce.

Current record-holder: Lordvincent 90 (2456)
Config: miui, kato 0.4 kernel, 946mhz clock, gov-performance, i/o-sio

Lo/Hi scores for all posted benchmarks:

RAM 121 / 187
CPU integer 241 / 324
CPU float-point 22 / 245
2D graphics 196 / 395
3D graphics 607 / 760
Database IO 140 / 300
SD card write 16 / 150
SD card read 74 / 186

This implies a max possible score of 2537.

Definitely! bumped mine up to 946 and tried 22citbun and my benchmark score dropped lol. Don't run 946 often had tons of lag on the graphics tests

I think I may be able to break. 2500 :D:eek:

And the "secret sauce" would be to trim the fat, stop anything running in the background, and disable additional keyboards. (turned off sywpe, score went up 15 or so points)
:)

I hate you x2...

Lol!

Man! What r you doing to get such good scores?

Idk, just force-stop stuff not needed in the running tab in manage applications, set it to Max, and stare in awe... I didn't even break 2400 until I used hroatks adreno zip (NOT the newest one that rkrk posted)
Oh, and @wetbiker-Im using the stock launcher that came with miui :p

Lol!

You can easily squeeze another 50 out of SD card write and break 2500.

LOL, man... that's what I ran most of last week (the stock launcher). I just got through installing CM7 last night and am gonna run it for a while. I love me some CM7 bro. Heck, I,like them all really. It just depends on what kinda mood I'm in as to what ROM I run that week seems like. lmao

Lol, Im the same way... i have been stuck between new and shiny, and tried and tru for DAYS now... But i think I'm on the miui bandwagon for the time being... This thing is silky smooth :cool:

Yea, but that would be cheating :p
I want to (try to) do it with performance stats

Actually it wouldn't be cheating with a true class 10 card. That my friend is performance too. You bring those write & read speeds up and your phone is gonna run faster.:p:p :D :captain:eye c u!

EDIT: heh i don't even know why i took the time to type this because u already know what I just explained. lmao . Oh well, maybe a noob doesn't.:ahhhhh:

Well, in keeping with tradition Lordvincent has beat his own record. Furthermore, he claims there is no secret sauce but rather has put his phone on a strict diet. Updated max score for ram and 3d graphics as well as max overall.

@birdwithbowtie-Lmfao...
There has to be SOMEONE that can beat me, i just can't believe that my phone is statistically better than EVERY PREVAIL owned by members of this site:confused::confused:
I didn't really do anything special at all... i have had this phone since ed13 (shabby.6) it not new, or refurb...

I can beatcha. Where's ma stick! (lmao) :ridinghorse:
That's weird how your scores are so much higher, man. What gives?:bawling:

What I find interesting is the 20% jump in database IO score from 250 to 300 - no one else has posted anything remotely close. And previous bumps to that score have been mild. Good for you!

Btw, that overall score eclipses the average Antutu score for the Nexus One, a roughly $300 smartphone. That's pretty cool.

Yea,.can't explain that one... And it's consistent too...And what's worse... No idea what i did...

I wrote to antutu asking for a list of their definitions for what exactly each of their benchmarks test and how, but they replied that they don't currently have such descriptions. FYI in case anyone else is a bit foggy about what these things mean. :hmmmm2:

Update- right after boot i/o (for me) scores ~ 250
If i reselect sio And hit apply (apply doesn't light up) it jumps to 300+
(antutu cpu master)

That probably means that they found that they got higher numbers when they expected them in testing, but never bothered trying to put any real quantifiable meaning to them.

Unfortunately, that means there's no real way to tell how one test is weighted against another. Could really kickass ram with a shitty ass processor skew the results? Probably

Benchmarks have never been a good indicator of really anything. I remember a lot of desktop PC benchmark d**k-waving in the past that resulted in the PC with the high benchmarks being found to be horribly unstable with anything but the benchmark tool. (i.e. "I'm getting 80fps in quake 2", "Cool, lets play some Worms", *crash* )

True, without knowing what's being tested and how, it's hard to say what this all means and whether it's worthwhile. There's obviously significantly more variety among desktop configs to further confuse the meaningfulness, if any, of the results, but without the antutu cheat sheet we can't even tell what they think the difference between a 200 and 300 database IO score means in terms of expected performance.

exactly.
my point was that we also don't know if a 100 point change in database IO is really worth the same as a 100 point change in say.. 2d graphics
