Root Velocity - Likes, Dislikes, and Suggestions

thanks bkuz they're definitely changing sizes randomly. I thought it was a density issue bkuz the keys were big after a reboot.
 
Just loaded it the other night, I'm really happy with pretty much everything. Now I can live with this phone until the contract is up. I was about ready to throw it out the window before installing Velocity 1.0.

I would like to get my old ringtone back, but I guess that's my fault for not backing it up. It was the techno sounding one from the stock Ally firmware.

Love the wifi tether - finally Infrastructure mode! I was using barnacle on 2.1 and it was ad-hoc only, and no WPA supplicant.
 
what's the highest OC y'all have running? running 748, but still lags sometimes when closing an app.

That would be amazing if i could do that im at a measly 768 with frunisher kernel used to be at 748 but i still get reboots several times a day. (Hint: ive noticed that if theres a problem with your oc and its conflicting with some things, for me it was the camera, just reflash usually itll help so maybe ill reflash frunisher and see if i can run more stable.)
 
Here's something I've been interested in for a while...
CyanogenMod (and maybe other ROMs, I've just never noticed if they have) include quick toggle buttons in the status bar like so:

Anyway you could maybe see if this could be added in at some point?
 
SMS backup nolonger works. I get communication errors when it tries to login to google gmail account. It works with Byron Bare but not with velocity.

Over all i love this ROM! There are so many great things about it and a few tweaks that i would like to see! :)

Likes: I really love the overall dark theme of it all and all of the cosmetic changes!
I LOVE the speed and smoothness of this ROM (something my ally has never seen)
And basically everything you've done here.

Dislikes: I am not huge of the battery as mentioned in other posts; aesthetically it would prefer the percentage outside of the batter (if possible) to make it easier to read. Along with that i would love it if the rate at which the percentage was updated could be changed instead of every 20% to like 5% or lower (so i don't over estimate my battery life. That would be awesome. :D

love the stability & speed but there's not enough space & idk why. I have like 22mb left compared to 92mb with Frunisher with the same apps installed. davlik cache is cleared & everything. any suggestions?

I'm having an issue with sending pics in my txt msgs. I'm using GoSMS PRO. Usually it's a piece o cake, but all of a sudden it tells me can't send msg? Txt okay, Txt with pic.....no go!!! I haven't changed anything lately so I'm just wonderin' if anyone can help a whitey?

There aren't really any other dislikes I’ve found.

Suggestions: i would really love to see a way to hide or categorize apps in the app drawer. I currently have Velocity on my mom’s ally and she is the most technologically apt person in the world and something’s like super user or rom manager would not be good things for her to go poking around in :P I would also love to see some theme options :)

Over all Velocity is a fantastic Rom and love it! I can’t wait to see the new installments of it ;)

+1 for rooting moms ally! Did the same thing and its so unfair she can oc wayyyy higher than me :(
 
just flashed back from frunisher & even tho it says my scripts are update they're not. trying to change NY cosmetic to gingerbread red notification bar
 
Did you restore a nandroid? Or a fresh flash? May need to manually update them. Savoxis has posted in the velocity script thread and one here "updater script not working. . ." On how to manually update them.
