That is rude to steal release candidates and give them out over PM... BTW

So my internet has been off for almost a month, you may notice some mirrors down and other atrocities. I am broke and just bought a car (I know, bad combo right) so it might be another month until I can justify giving comcast another eighty bucks

Why buy a car? You can get everything you need from the internet. :D

What is the initial command line for velocity 1.2 i accidently removed it without writing it down

also i can never get into the scripts anymore

Please elaborate. I can tell you that over the past few days I am completely unable to get into the Script UPDATE website, but once I answer "N" to "do you want to try again" everything else in there (except changing themes) has worked OK. So are you saying you can't access the script update/theme change site? I think the reason may be Savoxis' loss of internet service.

Oh okay

These things cost money to keep online, everyone who is running Velocity 1.1 or 1.2 needs to donate a little something to Savoxis help out if you haven't already!

Please note that until I get this sorted out you can STILL use the scripts offline features starting it using velocity -ol

Adding -ol behind the initial velocity command option does indeed whisk the terminal open very fast! Thanks for this tip!

But having done that, if one uses option 1 Update Scripts to check and see if your server is accessible, there seems to be no way to tell it to connect. It just reports that you must be connected to update the scripts. Perhaps at some point could you add a sub-menu option under 1 Update Scripts which would try to connect, without having to re-load the velocity terminal command sans "-ol"?

Ummmmm what does this script do, yea I'm kinda on a script thang...

"-ol" is a command line switch for the command "velocity" within the terminal interface. OL being "off line", it bypasses the automatic attempt to connect with Savoxis' server when opening velocity scripts in terminal. Works very well. :)

I need a tester.

This is the new script version 40, there are very few changes. The main change here is it removes all the mirrors and uses mAndroid Connection which is by far the cheapest and most stable of all my servers. Since there is no bandwidth cap or throttling it should be fine here with as much traffic as you can throw at it. It may get slow at high load times, but such is the price you pay for free stuff.

I also removed the starting tests for connection (as many of you dislike the 2-10 second delay) the result of this is if you do NOT have a data connection (or you have a weak data connection, firewalls on wifi etc...) it will hang for a moment in the beginning, then it will display a few errors. You can of course start it without errors without a data connection in offline mode.

Honestly doing this small amount of maintenance has me wanting to do more, but I have a hard time finding the motivation now without a device for testing, I abhor releasing scripts and roms that are broken, and have found that relying 100% on other people to spot glitches is far from perfect.

but luckilly with this one it will be a simple test, flash this in recovery (its not signed, but IIRC the new amonra and clockwork have checking disabled by default) and tell me whether or not you can download content. if you can then everything *SHOULD* work. Let me know soon as I am chomping at the bit to close down rackspace before the next billing cycle. I spent 85% of my last 2 checks on bills, it will be nice to get rid of a few.

PLEASE let me know of any bugs you run into
PLEASE let me know any ideas you have for future script content

I will NOT be releasing a Velocity V1.3 but I will make ONE more patch (1.2.2) so if you have any issues with the rom itself (other than arbitrary things like battery life that I CANNOT diagnose without a phone) PLEASE let me know asap because I will be making the final revision by the end of the week. I am unsure at this point whether Trident or Death2All will continue the project.

As for the script I WILL maintain it, and add new content if people are still using it and liking it.

Please forgive my sloppy grammar, spelling and incredibly longwinded and opinionated post.

Flashed fine. I did have to toggle signature verification, but i might not have the newest recover. I cant recall and i'm too lazy to go back and check.

Booted fine.

Did not work fine for me.

/system/bin/velocity: Syntax error: "else" unexpected (expecting "}")

EDIT: Thanks by the way for your efforts here.
