edit: i have not done this yet myself...ive resisted temptation...and tried to take a step back and gather as much info as i can so i can try to be more of a help here

You're right. I've been reading more, and people have already explained several ways to do this. Really easy. This is just great news.

how did you flash CWM this way?...if you want to flash CWM use the EZ Recovery app from the market and flash it there...

there is now a flashable zip made by invisiblek that only requires a CWM flash instead of using the tool...but it may not be ready for prime time yet

sure can...but frankly im not sure why you would want to...

i think in some circles there is a little bit of an "e-peen" self ego stroking to avoid tools and be able to say...

"well i pushed it with adb because im a BA Mofo"

ADB in a batch file == connect phone, one-click, done--it's faster than installing EZ Recovery IF you already have the SDK installed. (but I like EZ Recovery)

Its not CWM that I have an issue with; its that people don't figure it out.

as of right now...youre looking at CM10...andddddd CM10

oh sure! there is no differences when it comes to that...and you can even still flash kexec kernels if your heart desires

Besides the faster boot, what other advantages are you seeing? I came from the Droid x so I have never had an unlocked boot loader.

nothing...there is no performance benefit to an unlocked bootloader
