[Verizon] Looking to settle down

kalaster

Android Enthusiast
So I've been flashing ROMS for the past few years, I've been all around the net, dating a slew of ROMS, from losing my root virginity with cyanogenmod, to MIUI, AOKP, Liquid, and gummy. So as of recently, I've grown tired of the process of wiping, flashing, getting to know the new ROM, moving in with my apps, then the break up, and starting the process all over again. After this long, I've realized what I've been looking for all these years, its fluidity and a voice assistant. And I believe its going to be the official jelly bean update. So I think one day the OTA update hits for Verizon, I'm gonna settle down, and tuck my root kit away.

Anyone else feel this way? I can't see what else a custom ROM has to offer me once jelly bean hits. =D

Medic! Man down! Man down! Push him the paranoid android rom, stat!

I've felt this way before and then there is always a new feature that pulls you back in for "one more ROM". Its an addiction not easily conquered :)

Lmao!! I've tried paranoid android, but the text is too small, even when set to large.

And I know I can flash jelly bean, I ran with jelly belly for awhile, but I was getting annoyed with all the updates saying I needed to full wipe because of some of the major issues that popped up.

And the fluidity and voice assistant, I've always dreamed of Android being as buttery smooth as iOS, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that has. I did highly consider an iPhone 4s when I was shopping for a new phone, but instead I got the galaxy nexus and decided I'm android all the way! :) The voice assistant, I like siri and all, her personality is well fleshed out, but when it comes to usefulness, she falls way short. But its all a cool concept, I can't wait until one day its a full AI on our devices like EDI from mass effect =D

It's a chronic, incurable disease. I can't count the number of times that I said today is the day, only to relapse time and time again. ;-)

lmfao! yup!! I can't agree with you more, but only because with me, the current ROM I'd be on, was never as smooth as the next one. but for the time being, im on AOKP M6

I recently (July 6th) went from the Droid X to the Nexus and told my buddy that I was done flashing roms. He also has the Nexus and was into flashing roms on his X and hasn't unlocked his Nexus in 4 months.

Then I saw the AOKP M6 release... I tried like hell to ignore it but I couldn't get the monkey off my back. It is awesome!

OMG then I did some research on JB and was a little concerned about the issues. Thats when I found Pete's Bugless Beast and went for it. It's very stable and pretty freakin' awesome. Last night he put up a new nightly and I just flashed it. Perfect.

Yep, I'm done flashing Roms too! :D

P.S. I can't wait for AOKP to come to JB. Yup, then I will be done flashing roms... yup.

Soon we'll have JB roms that include quick toggles. The customization never ends so neither does flashing roms. :)

You know... why hasn't google added quick toggles to their notification bar? that played a huge factor in why i couldn't stand stock, custom ROMs spoiled me XD

you'd think they would have done this by now. If they did, THEN i wont have a reason to flash
