Verizon Note 2 Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

Damn...when I'm home I'd have it soon lol. I live literally 5 minutes from Warren in NJ, and 5 from the VZW world HQ :P
 
Thats great to see cards are being charged and conformation being received...hope you get them soon.

Any word from my foot soldiers about the stores stocking up/selling yet? I know its still early but any movement or intel gives a man hope like the sun peeping through the horizon.

I went to Verizon yesterday and no phone or accessories as of yet. Same as Bestbuy, but atlest they said a shipment was to arrive today. Ill call later for an update.

Likely they will be IN store on Thursday. That's how it happened with my Galaxy Nexus, the Droid X and the Thunderbolt. What's so weird is there are no test models in stores prior to the release...you'd think they could get one out there a week or so in advance.
 
HQ is no joke that place is locked down like it was the White House.

I tried to get a job with them, but no luck. Maybe after this big step up in my career I can weasel in. I'd be awesome for them.

I'm an IT Manager now. I was IT Support for about 8-9 years, worked for many different companies across different industries. (Insurance, Pharma, Tech, Telecomm). I was the branch IT manager at my last job for about nearly 5 years. Got laid off last spring due to massive downsizing (and the solar industry imploding) Took the summer off lol, and just landed a huge global manager position.

The phone is kinda my pat on the back present ;)

No status on line, no status through the phone automated system, not CC charge, but vzw says shipped and passed a valid tracking number:

At least you have something, mine still says that it will ship by today but my AMEX is still pending and no tracking information.

I called VZW to see if it had in fact shipped and not been updated on the website yet, but she said it probably won't ship till end of day.
 
Well, went to the main Verizon Wireless store here in Center City Philadelphia and they didn't have any SNG2's in stock. Strictly pre-orders. So that should cheer you folks up who did indeed pre-order!
 
I got my e-mail this morning notifying me that my order had been shipped out of Memphis TN! Expected delivery is 11/29 by 7 PM! W00t! Now I can only hope that I get my other accessories by then too.
 
I also got my shipment email about an hour ago. Shipping from the Memphis hub and scheduled for Thursday by 7pm. I live on the outskirts of the closest FedEx hub, and they mean 7:30 or 8 when it says 7!!
 
Just got my tracking notification. They always say "by 7" for residential shipments, but I almost always get them before noon (and if not, then just a few minutes after) so I wouldn't put too much stock into the ship by time. They only do that to cover their butts. Just go by what FedEx normally does in your area. And yea, the general rule is that the further you are from the local FedEx shipping center the later you'll wait, so be sure to check where your local facility is to get an idea of when, exactly, you might see it arrive.
 
I can't remember the last time I've been this excited about a phone.... Have to endure 48 more hours, 7 meals, two romps with the wife, and one mountain bike ride with the brother before I get my precious.... :smokingsomb:

After hitting up my local VZW store near the office, I decided to call up Verizon and pre-order the phone. The rep told me that my order will indeed ship today. In fact, any pre-orders that are put in by 3pm today (EST) will ship out today guaranteed.

So I am officially in the pre-order boat with y'all!

Its on sale at several non corporate stores out in Santa Ana and Orange, CA. I know because I can go get one right now but I already have a DNA showing up tomorrow. The S3 was being sold a full week early by these stores and others around the country if you were part of that thread. Why is this so hard to comprehend?

I originally was intending to do what you've just done. But I got weirded out that the date might be pushed back the later I pre-ordered so I decided to just go forth and do it.

Plus, my car battery is dead so I wouldn't have been able to make it to a VZW Store in the event that they came out today anyhow, haha.

So glad that it's going to work out for you! And hell, for all of us. I can't wait to get the e-mail that it's shipped. Eegads!
 
Just got my tracking info. :) Everyone who pre ordered barring a computer flub should get their phones on the 29th.
