Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

So if the Verizon website says it will ship by 7/11, does that mean someone who ordered it in the last week will get it soon as well?
 
anyone know where they are shipping out of? my tracking number is in the fedex system but doesnt have a location or anything
 
Ordered mine on June 8th in the AM and nothing yet. When the original Incredible came out 4 of us at work bought it. 3 of us ordered the morning it went on sale and one 3 weeks later. The one who ordered it 3 weeks after us got his phone much earlier than the rest of us.

I'm also in the 4a subgroup. This thread is very entertaining. Remember in two years or less this phone will be cast off for the next big thing. Delayed gratification is something we all should submit to. Chill...
 
Bah, I have an expected delivery date of the 9th. I got excited when i saw that Verizon shipped it on the 3rd, so i anticipated a delivery on the 6th. But fedex just picked it up today haha

No complaints though if im honest. My original desire was to receive it ON the 9th rather than ship ON the 9th. :)

Just checked my tracking. My S3 is at the Fedex location which is only 15 minutes from my house =) The long wait is almost over...except I won't be home until 9:30 pm. Sighhhhh I'll be up all night playing with the thing. Work might not see me tomorrow

Group 5 - I preordered at BB and all of you above should STHU because we have no idea when we will be able to get ours.

You lucky folks that are getting their GS3's today please post your thoughts and impressions!!!!!! I can't wait to hear what you think about the phone (especially reception)!!!

As for me....although my track shows my phone is in transit and left Coatesville yesterday.... my most recent update say my shipping info was just sent to Fedex last night:rolleyes:

Although mine is on its way to my house. It will get there before I do, work sux. :(

I even had one IMO, level headed cell dept team leader at Best Buy tell me it could be THIRTY days after release at VZW. This prompted me then to ask why the heck would you push for preorders then, since that is stupid. He did not disagree, but he showed me the same info they get from their warehouse. Unlike the other carriers, there is ZERO information from VZW about the SG3.

In spite of what others may say, Best Buy does not get their devices directly from the OEM, but from the same channels as everybody else (controlled by the carriers).

Added: I think I will assume the worst and just move on.
 
I probably would be getting mine today or tomorrow too since I preordered at 8am on the 6th. But, I had to cancel the credit card I used to preorder and a few weeks ago went online to change it to a new valid credit card.

Well, turns out they still tried to bill the old credit card thus it got put on hold. Stupid Verizon :mad:

I called Tuesday and gave them my correct information. It's getting processed to be shipped out, so I will hopefully get it Monday. Oh well, I don't even have my otterbox yet! :p
 
I just got to work and the package, in a reverse George Washington, has crossed the Delaware River from PA to NJ and is at a FedEx facility about 10 miles from my house. Of course I made the reverse trip and I'm sitting at my desk in Philadelphia. Hopefully, I'll be activating it tonight.

EDIT:

BTW, has there been ANY reviews, unboxings, hands-on online for the vzn S3? I haven't seen anything other than a twitter picture that I think I got off this thread.

Same here! Says shipping info sent although it changed facilities tWice before that..:(

No hope for a early delivery tomorrow I guess :o

Group 2a and ok with Monday
I guess only 45k got shipped on the 3rd and with holiday and allthe next group got Monday I'm off that day so ill be able to be lazy all day while I wait for the phone :D

Mine is in NJ too, sadly, I'm much more North in Boston. Looks like I'll get it tomorrow. At least I have it shipping to work

When I preordered my Dinc through BB people that ordered online were getting them first. So... this time around I skipped BB.

Hopefully you get some info soon.
 
I pre-ordered within a hour of it going live and my 16GB blue SG3 is on a FedEx delivery guy today. I'm going to run home when it delivers. I'll post a quick reception note when I do as I got a very weak signal at my house with my GNex.
 
I clicked on the track shipment number from my Verizon email and it took me to the Fedex site with the tracking number, but when I entered the number on the Fedex site directly, it showed some more information in the activity box. Interesting.
