Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

2 weeks and 1 day. The first batch of pre orders should ship. Barring any more setbacks from Samsung in the phone. Sprint, AT&T and Tmobile and the Canadian dealers have not given a firm date for in-store launches yet. If we see a full launch for all these stores on the 28th as they would like or the first few days in July we should be good. Tmobile has launched the phone in its A stores in major cities with limited handsets.
 
I really hate Verizon to begin with and this delay isn't helping. But they could redeem themselves somewhat if they were fixing the cell standby bug before giving this phone out. All I'm asking for is 18 hours of moderate usage and a few hours worth of screen time.

There is no delay, they've always said July 9th

id be more irritated about the inc 4g release. due in "the coming weeks" turned out to be 2 months (july 5). lol.

at least they gave us the july 9 date at the point of pre-order.
 
Theres a rumor going around that on the 28th, you'll be able to go into your local VZW store and smash a pinata open to win an S3. Unfortunately, if you lose, a weasel pops out and attacks you.

I could be wrong but I think its the same S4 processor. Makes sense if the inside rumor is correct for the S3 delay. I think its clocked differently thought. I don't know much about processors but I think its the same one just clocked differently.

which tells me my SG3 will ship on 7/9 and I will receive it on 7/10-7/11.

Pretty simple. Take the phrase "Ship By Date of June 6", removed the part where it says "June 6" and substitute "July 9" in it's place. Then you have the phrase "Ship By Date of July 9".

Besides, there are many of us who did not receive the June 6th error confirmation email.

What delay? I just checked my calendar and it's not July 9th yet.
 
I agree, it is ok to debate that they might release earlier than the ship by date. But yes Verizon has not announced any other day than than the 9th for the first ship date. Expecting it to ship before that is setting yourself up for dissapointment. They will be late if I do not have it on the 10th. They will be early if I get it before then.

All my chatter has been about the odds of them shipping early due to the wording of BY not on.

The words "ship by" appear no where in the email.

Weird, When we got our emails it states "actual ship date" July 9th. That must be the confusion. We had a separate email from the order confirmation that stated "actual" You must have have never gotten that email. Sorry :(
