Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I wonder how all those t-mobile and at&t people feel. You know, the ones who have ACTUALLY had their preorders delayed.

I was thinking the same thing. At least we still have a *cough* release date coming up. Can you imagine if that date had passed and no phone yet.

I haven't followed the other carrier's release date threads but I can't imagine they're happy.

I've been watching this thread from afar at work today... this is what you all made me think of:D

Pretty sure I saw the Verizon S3 in a 4G LTE commercial. It appears they managed to fit "Verizon" on the bottom of the display...

My goodness.... go to the VZW site!!! They have an image of the GS3... and it has no branding on the front:rolleyes:

Lol that must mean that they slapped it on the back cover. Explains why there is no picture of the back of the phone. What?? A Verizon phone with no advertized logo? That's doesn't seem right...

On another note, yesss!!!! my phone shipped!...
...4 years before Independence Day!

I don't get the issue with the Verizon branding. In the almost two years I've had my Droid X, I can't say the Verizon logo has ever stood out or I've ever really noticed it, and it's right on the front.

At least with it on the back on the S3, you can cover it up with a case.

To be fair, Qualcomm doesnt actually manufacture the chips, they design them and then have TSMC manufacture them. And Im not entirely sure TSMC is entirely to blame (although Im sure theyre probably freaking out over the number of chips they have to make) since Samsung hasnt shipped any of the 32GB models to the US (all the phones released thus far have been the 16GB model).

The new 28nm fabricating process is the culprit. Qualcomm stated this a few months ago. Not an efficient process yet.

Everyone hurry up and check, if you didn't already before checking in here. My order status finally updated to.... expected ship date... wait for it... July 9th. Which may put it in some peoples hands on the 9th, depending on where they live.

Yep, mine updated today also. July 9th. I ordered a white 32g. Wouldn't surprise me if it gets delayed because of the 32 size though....

Apparently Verizon already sent me my phone...240 years ago.

Expected Ship Date: 09/10/1772

I thought they fixed that issue? My order status just updated to this from no expected ship date or whatever.

My order status just was posted. Prior to this it was "not available"
