Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I pre-ordered mine last week. I received the confirmation email a few mins after I placed the order and it gave me the Pre Order Confirmation #, Order # , Order Location# and ship date (9/10).

There is a link in the email that says "check order status". I clicked on it for the first time and it says "we do not have record of that order number"

WTF??

Same here. Looks like they finally got the orders into their tracking system.

I have a question I pre-order 2 phones with intent to sell one. Do I have to activate the phone before I sell it. If so can I activate it without opening the box. It would be better to sell it as new unopened then as used.

Instead of entering your order number, enter your pre order confirmation number instead
 
Meh, they could change it but odds are starting to lean towards the 9th or so being it. Not the happiest, I want my toy now. But they at least have not lied, or missed there date.......yet.
 
Been lurking this thread for a few weeks (ordered 6/8) looking for whatever info I could find. Saw the posts about people having their shipping date posted, and sure enough mine says 7/9/2012. Even after all the posts saying it would be the 9th etc, just seeing it on Verizons site makes me feel so much better. I no longer need to lurk this thread, and every other forum I could find.

Time to try and make 2 weeks go by as fast as possible!
 
Ugh...my Droid X battery just started going downhill fast. I ordered a new battery (they're only $4) to hold me over. I hope it gets here before the weekend.

On the positive side, our cases and car mounts arrived yesterday!
 
This is the first time I have ever seen a good date tracking my order. I would either get unavailable or a a future date when I'm dead.

Sprint's in store launch is Friday and they the 32gb scheduled to start shipping tomorrow. We are on track for in store launch date on the 12th. Us pre orders on 6th should get in on the 9th. 2 more weeks.
 
If the vzw branding is above the home button do you think it would be possible to get it off somehow, or do you think it's under the glass? I wouldn't complain usually as it was on my X and Fascinate, but it just looks too gross above the home button

There will be no Verizon branding on the front, it will be on back w/ 4G LTE as well.
 
My order finnaly shows an expected ship date of 07/09 that's awesome!!!! I thought they had c/x my order but I see they fixed it VZW you have kept your promise that's good enough for me

If you are wondering they canceled my order by mistake and they couldn't fix it till finally I talked to a competent csr who promised would fix it I was sitting in limbo till today

I know it has the stuff on the back which is fine and actually looks good. But I saw the pictures from the commercial and it has the branding above the home button. So can you actually be sure the branding won't be above the home button? I would like to think it won't be there, but now I am ready to open my S3 box and see a whole bunch of hideousness.

I am hoping the commercial was dramatized with the logo on the front. I Guess those of us that get it on the 10th will let everyone know for sure.
 
Just checked mine and it finally has an expected ship date of 07/09.... WOO HOO Just wish we had the same go live as AT&T.
 
I did a chat online and was told the branding won't be there. It was just for the commercial. In fact she said I will "definitely be getting the exact phone that is on the website"

Same ship date here. I ordered about 10 minutes after it opened up on the 6th. Really hoping it gets here before the 10/11th though.
