They all sue each other all the time. Nothing ever comes out of it, at least in the US.

Dogfish or Harpoon IPA help with my Samsung Galaxy S3 decision making
Yeungling
Come on, bro. I'm from Philly and Yuengling is garbage compared to a good IPA. Especially a local IPA that comes in a can. Bottles are overrated. :smokingsomb:
Edit: I'm drinking Yuengling right now - not hating. haha.
A friend recommended an app called "AirDroid" to me. While it can't read the external SD card on the S3 (yet), it can transfer files to the internal memory via web browser. It's an interesting app. You should check it out with your GNex and see if it's a viable workaround for you.
The short story is that when Google started developing Android 4, they decided to abandon one of those 4 USB connection options you mention (I have only ever seen 3), namely USB Mass Storage (USM). From what I have read, they switched to only allowing two (Windows) protocols - PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) and MTP (Media Transfer Protocol), either of which essentially look at the type of files on your Android 4 device and then refuse to allow transfer (by USB, understand) files not deemed belonging to the realms of pictures and media. Very Apple of them, IMO. Why? Well, one Galaxy Nexus forum thread supposedly coming from a Samsung tech claimed their ultimate goal is to eliminate all "outside hardware connections" and external memory devices (SD cards) from Android devices. Ostensibly to get away from the diversification of where programs and files are/can be/ stored, to make it easier on program developers to code for "a single uniform platform design". I'm not buying it.
Now, there ARE alternatives, as this issue is currently only affecting USB in Android 4 devices. What I have found is that I can use a free app called Cheetah Sync to wifi sync "any" files from my rooted Iconia A500 tablet's Internal Storage (SD Card) and External SD Card (this is the confusing mess I referred to as diversification ) over to my Win7 PC since I can't do it with a simple USB connection after flashing ICS. Bluetooth might also work but I haven't tried it.
If you research the issue, you'll encounter a supposedly renowned tech journalist who insists that any ICS device which has an external SD slot and USB socket are not affected by this and still support USM. He is dead wrong. It doesn't work on my tablet, and it also doesn't work on my son's stock Transformer TF201 which came with ICS. Both have the hardware mentioned, and neither can transfer files which are not pictures or media. For me, not being into either of those categories, my tablet displays blank Windows Explorer windows when connected, where when it ran Honeycomb my PC was able to see and access every file in those locations and copy any I wanted back and forth to the same PC. I do so weekly as precautionary backups, having endured total SD card failure a few times (lost everything).
Under the PTP/MTP USB connection, there is no popup in the Android Notifications, no popup in Windows to show a device has been connected, and no "Safely Remove" icon available in Windows task tray when you plug in the device. It just shows up as a drive in Windows Explorer (however blank, for me).
I'm just curious how we would go about getting documents (.pdf files, .doc files, excel spreadsheets, and the like) on the phone. Are they considered media files, or do you need to use the Kies program or some other app to get them on there?
All those types you mention are definitely not within the "allowed" types of files with PTP and MTP. Thus, my seeing what appear to be empty storage locations in Windows Explorer when connecting my tablet running ICS to my PC. The dev who wrote the ROM I am using has been working on a way to re-institute USM, but it is not fully operational. So at the moment I can only transfer "some" of those kinds of files. Not reliable.
I haven't seen Kies in action, but it may work, since it doesn't rely on USB. One thing that works (such as it is) is to implement the file handling FROM the tablet to a USB removable drive. But it is very slow by comparison, and then you still have to copy the files a second time from the drive to your PC, if that is where they are headed. I'm pretty happy using Cheetah Sync for the time being.
I don't have a phone running ICS, but I do have a Toshiba Excite 10 tablet (with SD slot) that is. When trying to copy a "non supported" file type, a box will pop up warning you that it may not play/work, but it gives you the option to copy anyway. As another mentioned, you may not see the "non supported" files on your computer, so you would have to delete them from the phone or tablet itself.
At least that is my experience with ICS and MTP.
This is really random, but one of the the things im excited about on this phone is testing out the headphones that come with the phone. I'm a bit of a headphone junkie and I like in-ear headphones. JULY 10TH CANT COME SOON ENOUGH
Let me bring this thread back on topic.
The California judge has granted Apple a second pre-trial injunction within a week. This time is on the Galaxy Nexus.

That makes me think that a pre-trial injunction on the Galaxy S III might be imminent. Verizon better hurry up and delivery my phone.
Have had a GN since release day last December, and after 5 different replacement phones including a new one out of the box, I have decided the Galaxy Nexus radios suck. It is simply not ready for prime time as a 4G phone. In fact, I think of it as a 3G phone in terms of speed and its ability to acquire and keep a 4G signal, even if sitting next to a 4G tower.
My question is.... any word on the VZW S III radios yet? For me, it would be a waste of money to even consider it if the radio situation has not been improved. I am hoping they have been improved significantly.

We're just killing time. Got a little less than two weeks before anything happens with our phones.
I get email notifications for new posts to this thread and reading post after post about beer is getting old.
Who is going by Sprint tomorrow to take a look at the S3 as July 1 is their launch day.
T-Mobile have had the S III demo models in store for a few days now. That's how I got to check one out in person. I'm not even in a big city (population around 300K) so other T-Mo stores probably have it too.
There's an easy fix for that.
I just went to Tmobile and played with a GS3. The pebble purple...errrrr blue is not quite what I expected If I had to do it over again I think I would have ordered white.
So now Verizon's in a real pickle, I imagine: trying to balance its release date with a potential injunction and sales ban!
Will VZW actually hold off and possibly not sell millions of units because they sat on release? Or will they ship out what they can?
All I know is this: if the SGS3 falls through, unsold, pre-orders cancelled and unlimited data gone from the picture, I would foresee a whole lot of customers jumping ship instead of paying full retail for their next phone (whatever it is). Not everyone's in my unfortunate situation wherein VZW is the only signal/4G in town. I may be stuck, but unless they (a) get this phone into the hands of the customers who pre-ordered, or (b) extend a rain check on unlimited data to the pre-orders that had to be cancelled (FIGURE THE ODDS!), there's gonna be a customer mutiny.
