Only 10 more days...at what point should we get a little nervous? :o

Realistically, when its the day after you expected ship date and your phone still has not shipped...

But, I will get start to get nervous if they don't start shipping the phones early this week.

I am getting mine from Best Buy I have no way of knowing when they get them unless an employee posts.

If they did you would hear about it by now, see leaked pics, etc...........

LOL, somebody ought to hold up their Sprint SIII in a Verizon store and snap a pic. This thread would be dead for the next few hours while we all scrambled around town to various Verizon stores.

I won't get nervous, but, I have a feeling they will start shipping this week. Wishful thinking, maybe.

This Palm Pixi SUCKS. :D

Wish in one hand and spit on the other and see which one comes back first.

Yeah, it would be great if they shipped Tuesday so we'd get them on a 'Verizon' Thursday. But the 10th is just 5 days after that, so I won't be too disappointed if your wish doesn't come true.

Well, after finally being able to see the blue and white side-by-side at a Sprint store today, looks like I'll be paying Verizon an extra $35 to switch to white after my blue S3 arrives. It'll be my first white phone ever.

Why don't you like the blue? I went to a sprint store and the white looked very cheap to me. The blue had that premium look to it. The blue definitely has a purple hue but it changes depending on the amount of light.

I really hate the "which specific date it will ship" debates, but I have to ask this....

A Verizon store employee told me (yeah, yeah, I know) that the S3 will be available in his store 7/9. I'm hating the idea that my pre-order (ordered on 6/6 with 7/9 ship date in my email) may arrive after the in-store release date

I'd say you answered your own question when you said 'Verizon store employee'. No one knows when it will be in the stores because Verizon was smart enough not to make promises their supplier might not be able to keep. Most rumors say it won't be in store till the latest date on the website, July 11th or the 12th. But that's still just speculation.

Remember all the people in here that SWORE they would have there phones by July?

My bet still stands for any takers, 10$ says no one will have it before the 9th!

I would hope Costco and HHGREG didn't just go off of speculation when they posted July 12th as the sale date.

Keep in mind, as you wave that $10 bill around, that Verizon said the phones would ship BY July 9th... not necessarily ON it.

Typically the phones are sent by 2-day FedEx a few days in advance of release so that, theoretically, everyone gets their phones at the same time: store customers and pre-orders. But it's not unusual for some folks in the pre-order gang to get their phones a day or two BEFORE release...

In this case, I would imagine VZW releasing the first batch on Friday so that they reach their destinations Monday. But a lot of folks might get theirs on Saturday. Depends on where you live, I suppose.

That $10 sure is looking good to me... Daddy needs new apps

:)

EDIT: I could be wrong, of course. They may wait and ship out Monday, so everyone gets the phone on the 11th or even 12th. But I have received things early.

I just read on another forums that someone checked the order status and it says July 6th now, anyone else getting this?

I fully expect my phone to be shipped on July 10th (just as my pre-order states) and be delivered by FedEx on the 12th. I also expect the S III to be in Verizon stores on the 12th; pure speculation based on the fact it's a Thursday after pre-orders have been shipped.

So what do you expect for those who say 7/9 instead of 7/10?

I don't worry too much about getting my phone delivered after they are available in stores. The most important thing about pre-ordering is to secure my unlimited data plan. :)

The white looked better and cleaner to me. The blue is just strange looking. The color doesn't go great with any cases except white and smoke, imo. The home button doesn't match the phone. I wish they would have just gone with black. And to me, the color contrast of the chrome on the blue reminds me of a cheap looking low-rider. The chrome on white goes together better. White or blue, not as good looking as my Nexus, but white looked better to me. I didn't want it to, but that's the reality for me. I kept asking other men who were examining the phones while I was there. They all said they were there to compare colors and they all chose white as well, so I'm not alone.

I haven't seen one up close yet, but at least from the following pictures, I still like the blue over white (linked from here):

I like the white because every phone I've had for over 10 years has been black. Need a change from the darkness.

I would agree with you, IF the actual phone resembled those pics in any way. In fact, I do agree, since I ordered a blue one based on similar pics. It doesn't resemble the pics, unfortunately. Not even close. You'll see.

I got back from a Sprint store about an hour ago and saw both the blue and white versions side by side. I didn't find anything wrong with the white version, but the blue version stood out between the 2 as far as I am concerned. The screen was great and definitely a step up from my Galaxy Nexus. It was fast going between the various home screens and both the app and widget drawer. Very happy with my choice of blue and now I'm just waiting on Big Red to email me my delivery confirmation since my case has already arrived.

Agree I played with one today and the blue looked nothing like those pictures. It is weird it can look so different in so many pics and videos.
