We get to KEEP UNLIMITED DATA??? Wow! Thanks for clarifying THAT!! :D How come nobody ever talks about these things?

Here is the thing it HAS been talked about extensively and yes if you preordere you get to keep unlimited we agreed to move on and talk about other things such as shipping dates and such. Not trying to be an ass by the way so don't take it the wrong way.

It appears my attempt at making a humorous comment has been misinterpreted. :) I've read every post in this entire thread. ;) Peace, brother.

Bizarre... Apparently Samsung wasn't given access to the PDK, even though the Galaxy Nexus was being developed for?

Something very screwy indeed... although it's obvious that 2GB isn't necessary, since the Nexus 7 comes with only 1GB, as does the Galaxy Nexus.

but those also do not have a skin on top of them. Plus the nexus line is all google samsung isn't the one issuing updates.

That is great news. And people can stop speculating about a small carrier label being on the front of their phones... as it's nowhere to be found on there.

Hopefully they'll ship on schedule... at this point that's all I really want to happen.

Looks like he got a work demo, so at least that is one live device and in the city I live in. Go Cats!

The theories and reasons for the 2gb ram is shot down since devices with 1gb ram already have it and are getting it. This is like one of those subjective reading tests where you hunt for contradictions ;) Not to mention the International version was developed the same time as the American version. If the convention of the article was accurate, the quad version would have 2gb ram as well.

except those devices "getting it" do not have a skin on top and are pure android.

Try reading the other threads in this forum :) Several threads with issues popping up, Watch the video towards the bottom of this one

http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s3/573323-home-screen-lag.html

I read the other threads thank you and the phone I played with had none of those issues.... Not to mention you realize people having no issues are not going to post saying how great the phone is? These are forums and the minority of people with issues come to sites like these asking for help. By no means the majority.

Just to torture myself I walked over to the Sprint store at lunch (advantages of working to a big city, all carriers have a store in about a 2 block radius). They had both a blue and a white on display. The reviews are pretty dead-on - very nice overall.

Yeah, so now I'm really, really ready to get this thing.

You're lucky, I've been trying to view the in store models for a little while now and none of my local stores have it or even cases for it. The A T & T guy kept telling me that the lawsuit was the reason why he didn't have any and wasn't going to get any until it passed. The Verizon guy also quoted the lawsuit at me and kept saying *if* we get it and then told me just because I preordered didn't mean I could keep my unlimited then told me he was wrong and I could keep it... Yea the guys at my store aren't that bright.

I walked up to radio shack and some one had stolen the display model from them. I'm not sure how well that's going to work out since it's a none working display. I guess I won't get to see the phone until my order comes in but lurking around the andriodforums is rather fun while I'm waiting ^^.

Yes, especially the wording in this line from the article, which was dated June 28th:

"Samsung believes that sales of the Galaxy S3 would touch 10 million units by the end of July. The handset is planned to be shipped to 302 wireless carriers in 147 different countries worldwide by the end of next month."

Even in its worst days wiz took up less than 50 megs of space. How would that matter?

Added: Factor in even the stock ui uses ram, the delta is less than 50. All reports are the ui is butter smooth.

Is anybody holding out to see if the LTE data drop issues are resolved? If anything, this is the one thing from keeping me upgrading to ANY LTE phone.

If I have to give up unlimited data and pay more for data drop issues, well no thank you, I'll keep my 3G phone. Or move if this does not get resolved.
