Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I (as usual) am kind of doubting much movement if any this week for the SG3 for VZW. The other three carriers have had reviews and demo units flotaing about for two weeks and actual devices shipping. Ditto for the Canada version.

There has been ZERO of the same for the VZW SG3. My guess is their infamous bloat is being attached and this takes more time. I think we might see some activity starting next week, but where are the demo units and reviews?

Added: As far as Sprint reception issues, that is kind of standard for any device. Reports from Germany that uses similar CDMA and LTE tech as we do is the reception.

I have seen some forum reports and got a message from one poster at the XDA site. Reports are the reception is not the typical Samsung reception issues. Radio reception is apparently good.

Usually by now, the forums are flooded with reception complaints, but the SG3 so far is isolated.
 
Yeah, that article is horribly mistitled which understandably leads people to the conclusion you came to, but the article in its own convoluted way says that Judge Koh told Apple that adding the S III injunction would push back the trial date and Apple withdrew its request.

I think this Reuter's report is a better, although it kind of bounces between Koh giving Apple an option and Koh telling Apple no.




Im like 99% sure we're not going to be getting our phones this week although maybe they'll ship by Friday (doubt it) simply because the Incredible 4G is coming out this Thursday. Why those assholes* get their phones before us I have no idea, but thems the breaks.

Great video!!! But can we trust a guy that eats Honey Nut Cherrios (box just over left shoulder in video )? Come on man Frosted Flakes is where it's at.
 
On a side note it appears many who got the sprint version are having signal issues. I hope this is not going to be another repeat of the g nex otherwise it will be going back before the 14 days are up. Anyone Else Having Sprint GS III Radio Issues?? - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com
Lol. Have you read that thread? Most people were posting before the phone was even out. Also, the past complaints with Samsung has to do more with poor antennas, not radios, though people always say radios. If the phone is roaming when it shouldn't be, though, that WOULD be a radio problem, as the phone can pick up adequate signal just not on the correct network. I would like to qualify my statements by saying I am talking out of my a$#. :)
 
Got an email over the weekend that 4G has been officially rolled out in my town. Yes!!! I'm coming from a 3G phone so now I can test the 4G speeds with my new S III that I have... oh wait.

I like the guys review style. It was really an overview, but still good.

Prefer calling reviews that do not go into detail "overviews", but compared to other similar reviews, I prefer his.

Well thats good to see lots of positive. Ive learned many people still go by bars which isnt a good indicator anymore.

at this time i would like to congratulate those who pre ordered on day one and have manage to keep their sanity this long, you are among the few who shall get the phone next week pat yourselves on the back 1 more week to go.

Thank goodness for these forums or there would be no sanity. This website is "my fix" when I'm feeling shaky/edgy for anything that gets me closer to my S3. Man, I sound crazy.

I want to thank everyone that has posted. It is nice to know that I am not alone in my obsession to get my hands on this phone. Waiting has finally turned from weeks to days.

I just hope that I keep my unlimited data. Has that been discussed?:D
 
Starting to see a lot of problems being reported here and I witnessed one for myself on the Sprint demo yesterday. This is why I never preorder a brand new phone or buy one without using it first. Hopefully Samsung can push a fix before Verizon launches next week.

Actually, I don't think it has :confused:

We should all call Verizon and report what they tell us :D Then we can make a poll and see which information was the most given!

Such as? And how do you get to use the phone before you buy it?
 
It is my first time posting on the thread. So I guess I would be called a lurker. haha. I have been watching the threads and news on the phone for a little while. I believe I learned about the pre order through a site. I ordered on the first day, 32GB white. I am ready to get rid of my Thunderbolt and have a G3. You all have given insightful information on the phone and I am grateful for all the information that has been shared. :)
