/me wipes tear from eye and hands Kymberlin her "Geek Card".

Another Geek is born :)

Geek Criteria:

Standing in line for greater than 3 hrs for ANY consumer electronics launch.

Taking time off from work for receipt of ANY consumer electronics device. Partial credit given for leaving work early to get "it" because you see "Delivered" on the tracking site.

Obsessing for greater than one week on a preorder.

Playing ANY/multiple game/s for longer than 8hrs in one sitting.

Calling in sick on launch day is also an immediate "Geek Card" This is known as fast tracking :)

Seeing the FedEX/UPS trucks come by every day is a constant source is disappointment.

That being said, "Your Mother was a Hamster, and your Father smelt of elderberry..."

What I read from this is two things:

1) Those poor folk with the Nexus running JB are running it improperly since they only have 1gb of ram. They must be limping along.

2) Those poor folk with the International S3 are Scr3w3d. They have been taken :)

PS... US Version of the S3 FTW!! We are going to have Dual Core 2GB JB goodness :)[/QUOTE]

You couldn't be more incorrect, the Nexus is much faster on JB than ICS, I have been running it for 5 days now. The Nexus 7 only has 1 GB of RAM. You clearly have your facts wrong.

Fillyo -- This was purely humor. I thought the smileys would give that away.

The article I linked to from IBT stated the reason the US Version of the S3 was delayed was the addition of the 2GB memory to support upgrade to JB.

So if you read this as humor/sarcasm then you will see that I had all my facts correct :)

Just got my case from UPS. I have a hard time imagining people complaining about the size of the phone. It seems perfect to me. No complaints at all. :)

Trying to not get anxious but a co-worker just picked up a white S3 for his wife yesterday during his lunch break and got to mess with it a little bit. Not much longer!!!

Just received my non Verizon branded white extra back cover for the phone, and for those who haven't laid their eyes on an in vivo GS3 (myself included), it's not as large as some would have you think (at least the backside). To give some perspective, my droid x fits rather snugly within the case. It's about 1/4 a centimeter on each side wider, and maybe a 1/2 centimeter on the top and bottom. So I don't imagine it being too much larger, but just a lot curvier than my blockhead X.

It was probably overkill getting the extra cover, but I plan on putting a sticky screen protector on it for some extra grip to protect my precious. Plus there's just something nice and clean about not having any carrier logs on a phone.

I plan on dressing like a pirate and getting drunk this weekend to pass the time. What about you guys/gals?

So just like me you folks did not buy this? But it is from the International Business Times it must be accurate :)

Yep, and shame on Google for putting JB on their new N7 tablet with only 1GB of RAM. The horror!

Haha, well that's not who I had in mind. It just sucks, due to the holiday this week, can't take off any time next week, no available hours

Somebody will be there though, I am not missing it

Sorry, you just left it wide open...

I'm having it shipped to my work, and my office is pretty close to the door, so you can be assured no-one's laying a finger on my GS3... too many pranks like the time they took my repaired X360 out of the shipping box and hid it.
