Verizon Pre-order, Release date, and speculation thread

I'm having mine delivered to my work, and I'm really hoping that since I do have to sign for it, the delivery guy will stop at our guardshack instead of taking it to shipping and receiving. That's the plan, anyways. I don't trust the knuckleheads in s&r to let me know it's here, and not hold it for a couple of days if they get it instead. Therefore, once my tracking number shows it out for delivery, they will be plagued with phone calls until I see it, one way or the other.

I should have just had it shipped to the house and taken the day off.....
 
Just hope they don't screw my order up. Had to do it over the phone because you can't bill on the website to anyone but the account holder.

What concerns me is the email that came to us said the billing is to my wife not me. I called them up again, and they could not see the billing so we will see. If it screws up, and I lose unlimited I will just move to AT&T and deal with 3g until they get their LTE in my area. Verizon needs some serious work on their systems to allow adults on the same account to buy with their own cards and things like that.

I'm thinking "ships by" , and the announcement of the 10th means that a little elf (or smurf in my case) is busy running around the verizon warehouse getting my toy all prepped and ready to go. I may just take the week off... ! :party:

I specifically asked that question to my rep yesterday. As long as you exchange in store, you can swap out. You would need to go into the store to do it however.

Once you have the tracking #, you should be able to go to the Fed Ex or UPS (which ever is the shipper) website and have them provide you status updates either by email or text message. That's what I do for higher dollar deliveries to my work address. That way, once it is delivered you will be notified and can even view the signature to see who signed for it.
 
I also remember seeing free next day for some reason. I have also got fedex ground delivery’s on sat. before.

Or you can have it re-directed to be left at a FedEx store near your office & you can pick it up there.

I will definitely check into that! While a day off to play with it sounds fun, I have to save all my vacay for my wedding in September. I just need more vacation days!
 
Verizon has charged my card. Also, when I check my order status I now have a real order number and empty box where a tracking number would go.

We have reached the next phase....
 
My card got charged as well. I ordered 10 minutes after the window opened, with a ship by date of the 9th. Hoping its here by Friday.

Edit: On the other order-checking site, it says "Your order has been sent for processing".

You get the 60 days(with silver premier) on the equipment regardless of it being subsidized or not. Contracts lock at usual carrier time frames, but exchanges on equipment can be made.
