Turns out if you go into "regular dock mode" and go to settings, you can disable the wifi from turning on.I use gesture search to find dock mode then...
Dock Mode > Menu (hard button) > Settings > uncheck Auto Wi-Fi On![]()

. I have this same setup in my other car to mount the Garmin Nuvi and it has held up for years now.
I reached out to ibolt about my dock, got a response this morning that they would send me a replacement. I suggest anyone else having problems do the same. Use the contact form on their website - iBolt.co - iBOLT - Contact us
I contacted the March 3rd, and got a response from someone the next day. He said they would ship me one on the 5th.
By the end of March I still haven't received it, so I emailed them back, twice (a week apart) and still no response. I'm starting a new job in Danbury, CT next week, 220 miles away, and the GPS drains faster than the old dock can charge. Not very happy with iBolt right now.
Well, the thing got me to, around, and back from Danbury pretty well. Saves the battery when I'm not allowed to bring my phone into the facility. But I'm having orange/green flashing indicator problems. Battery too hot? Eris did that too with a straight charger. I may try and make an adaptor that will replace the battery with a power supply. Time to get the old SolidWorks going again.
