Verizon Rezound Window and Dash Vehicle Mount

I am using the Tetrax XWay mount and my regular car charger and having no problem charging the phone while using navigation. I bought a Barely There case that I use as the holder so it is easy to pop in and out and still have access to all of the phones functions. I have it mounted to my dash so it is out of direct sunlight as well. I don't like window mounted holders because they put the phone in the direct sunlight.

For anyone else using this iBolt dock but hates the suction cup mount, I have a solution.

The Proclip 'Garmin Ball Mount Adaptor Plate' fits the iBolt dock like it was made for it. Yes this is a $60 mount for a $30 dock but it's nice and solid now . I have this same setup in my other car to mount the Garmin Nuvi and it has held up for years now.

I added an extension plate so it would not block my A/C vent or the pop-out cup holder.

I bought the proclip hard wire mount for my Rezound. Already had the mount from my old Droid Eris just bought the new dock and installed it. Proclip is the best mount I have ever used. It's a little expensive but worth it.

I reached out to ibolt about my dock, got a response this morning that they would send me a replacement. I suggest anyone else having problems do the same. Use the contact form on their website - iBolt.co - iBOLT - Contact us

I contacted the March 3rd, and got a response from someone the next day. He said they would ship me one on the 5th.

By the end of March I still haven't received it, so I emailed them back, twice (a week apart) and still no response. I'm starting a new job in Danbury, CT next week, 220 miles away, and the GPS drains faster than the old dock can charge. Not very happy with iBolt right now.

My new one went to crap too, sometimes it kicks off car mode/ac charging, sometimes it doesn't. I'd suggest if you're rooted, switch to a kernel with fast charge, otherwise gut it and drill a hole in the bottom so you can plug the charger directly into your phone.

Well, the thing got me to, around, and back from Danbury pretty well. Saves the battery when I'm not allowed to bring my phone into the facility. But I'm having orange/green flashing indicator problems. Battery too hot? Eris did that too with a straight charger. I may try and make an adaptor that will replace the battery with a power supply. Time to get the old SolidWorks going again.

Yeah it's stopping from charging the battery to protect it because it's too hot. I find underclocking mine when using GPS/music helps. Also it's worse when it's hot and you have direct sunlight on it.
