I use twrp on the wife's kindle fire I like it a lot. Haven't used it on the gn I stick to what I know with my phones which is cwm. Please give your thoughts if you go the twrp route!

I dirty flashed b34/0422 gApps over b33/lean 3.3.... so far so good. Seems very fast.

The new consensus is that it does nothing. Even stated by a Google dev. I do it every so often. It doesn't hurt so feel free!

What's a nandroid? Should I have gotten one of those before I dirty flashed B34?

Like the others, successfully done back to back dirtys with 33 & 34 with no problems.

Performed a nandroid and dirty flashed from 31 to 34. Been running about 14 hours with no issues. YMMV

Still no issues after 24 hours also on lean kernal.

Have been on it all day. It's shaping up to match that of M2 which is the best kernel I've run on my GN to date. The performance to battery life ratio makes me giggle it's so good :laugh:

I got stock on the splash screen with the unicorn. I had 4.04 before... how can i get my phone back up running?

UPDATE:

I cleaned up data and catched and was able to boot up the rom, phone is up and running but market and google account is missing. NO idea what to do now. Can you please help me out?

I'm doomed. Factory reset didn't work, tried flashing the 4.04 back but installation aborted... No idea how to get this fixed now.

As long as your phone turns on at all, you're not doomed. Saw in the other thread you found the gapps file; that should sort you out, but if not, something else will.

Did you flash gapps immediately after you flashed the rom?

In add accounts was there the Google lower case g? A cursive g in a blue square? That's the one you need to add the account.
Are you able to flash the rom again? Try it again, look for the little G in add account
...remember back up your rom

OK I have not really messed too much with rooting, in fact only once. How do I flash this rom? I have dl'ed aokp_supersonic_build-34 and gapps-ics-20120422-signed.

Yeah I flashed B34 ad the 422 Gapps, but the Gmail app wasn't included in the Gapps. I just downloaded it from the market.


Was Gmail not included for anyone else?

I haven't had any issues with b34 since last night.
