[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

No time before classes today, might flash it tonight...will check in and see what you guys think again later, assuming I don't get bogged down in writing papers and such.

FYI Roman posted on twitter a wipe is required to flash 22

This makes me think I'll wait for 23. If I'm going to wipe I want it all working nice and smooth and if he has already fixed stuff for 23 then that knowledge will hold me over. [Hide] I will keep repeating that until it becomes true :p :D[/spoiler]

I'm pretty excited about using the power button for the camera. Hope I have time tonight, if not I may just wait for 23.

I did the .4 radios yesterday...gotta say much better connections but will be watching today at work. And gonna stick with M3 for a bit....too

Couple goodies in the changelog. I think I'll stick with M3 for now and work on getting 4.0.4 radio installed today

I have been running the 4.0.4 radios a while now and the hand-off from 3G to WiFi is instantaneous.

I think the CDMA signal bars would go gray or away when on Wifi before but now they stay on showing status while on WiFi.

No change in battery life.

Staying on M3 and will wait for M4.

I did a dirty wipe with no issues. Chances are you only need to do a full wipe if coming from M3. If you're on 21 it should be fine. TESTED

Wow...I just read through the rootz thread and people say a full wipe completely necessary... bit scared o.O all came out fine though

has anyone noticed a better hand off between 3/4G and wifi ??? i d k if i have just never looked at but it seams faster to me on 4.0.4

Are you sure you're on the .4 radio and btldr? I knew you had flashed to the .3 radio did you flash again recently?

Whats the process of flashing the .4 radios from a .3 ROM such as AOKP? Don't you have to be on .2 to flash?

Dnld, flash. That is it. If you aren't feeling it then you can flash back to the radio you are on (dnld it too and put both on sdcard so you're prepared). No downgrading necessary. Radios are here. gl and post your thoughts!

Most definitely from 3G to WiFi & back. I haven't done 4G yet.

I also take note my 3G signal bars still read while on WiFi, this could be the trick?

I never flashed the 4.0.3 radios I flashed 4.0.3 rom... I don't like to play around with radios that much knowing the danger behind them but once I herd
. 4 had a wifi fix I took the plunge

And guys when you flash roms it does not flash the radios... If it did there would be so many bricked devices because flashing a radio wrong or double flashing the same thing is the only certain ways to hard brick your phone and leave you with a 700$ paper weight

My point right there.... But some people seam to beleaive, that when you flash a rom it also flashes a radio.... You can be on 4.0.1 radios and have 4.0.4 rom

I agree with you wholeheartedly! Except for one scenario which is rather new to me. The latest IMM30B ROM by craigacgomez (4.0.4). He has one download packaged with the 4.0.4 radio. This is causing some confusion, although if people really read these posts carefully it is self-explanatory imo.

Yeppers it is and you can pack a rom bootloader and radio all in and flash it but.... Flashing that same package over its self is setting you up for a horrible time...
I know I used that package to update my phone with the rom, bootloader and radio and it's only the second time I flashed a radio (on purpose long story lol) and I am not regretting it

I quoted the wrong post by you earlier...

You had said when you flash ROMs it does not flash radios. This is what my post was referring to as when you flash that particular ROM dnld it DOES flash the radio. Rare, but worth mentioning.

I can't count how many radios I've flashed...throat drys up a little on each one :p but knock on wood they've all been successful.
