[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Has anyone noticed problems with the Google Text-to Speech since flashing 22? I use it with WhoIsIt to announce who I've received text messages from, but since the update it force-closes any time I get a message. I installed a different TTS app and it's working, but I like the Google voice better.

Any advice? I was on WebOS since it's infancy and the Galaxy Nexus is my first Android device so I'm not completely versed in it yet.

Thanks!

So, I'm on build 21 and and I just noticed something but I'm not sure what it means or if it's a glitch. If I place 2 fingers on the home screen next to each other and swipe the left finger up and right finger down at the same time I get a message saying "Got Rotate! false". If I do the same thing but swipe the left finger down and the right finger up I get a message saying "Got Rotate! true". Can anyone get it to do the same thing?

I tried Googling it and didn't come up with anything. (But it was very late so I don't guarantee that I looked hard)

Confirmed that it happens on M3 as well. I'm asking romann on the AOKP irc channel and will report back if he has any comments. :)

Here are 2 screen shots showing the messages:

Yup I get it too! Like a hidden treat maybe :p

I'm betting it has to do with the multi-touch issue which has been fixed in 4.0.4

Since I just went back to my M3 backup, we'd need someone to test it out on the .4 ROM and see if they experience the same.

It's Nova Launcher! I just tried the same gesture with the stock launcher, and no message. So it's just some debug message in Nova Launcher. :)

It's really simple.... It's actually kernel coding not nova launcher (although it could be coded into nova not to sure if it can) there are different inputs on how you can rotate your screen 99% involve the gyro but in the coding you have flicks on different sides of the screen to rotate and what your seeing is a command error processing thoes inputs but not having the instructions with what to do with these finger sypes... So it maybe something that's added on later or the kernels you are on support the motion and the rom does not

Hope that sheds some light on it

What launcher are you using? I'm using Nova Launcher beta13 and when I use the stock launcher, I don't get the message. So unless you're using Nova Launcher, I wouldn't expect you to see it :)

I'm using Nova 13 as well....hmm...not complaining though!!

I'm really digging the unlink volumes! Certain times it's calls only and that's really helpful. Most of the time my phone's on silent though. Anyone know if there's a way to remove the silent icon in the status bar? Since I'm always silenced except for rare occasions, I already know and don't need to be notified. Plus I could just check to make sure anyways. But 98% of the time I'm on complete silent so does anyone know of a way to remove the notification icon?

You may need to find the image, stat_sys_ringer_vibrate.png and Photoshop it out or delete it?

I dunno what folder its in, use root-explorer to search for it. It may be as easy as renaming it there or pulling all permissions?

It should be in one of the many drawable-xhdpi folders.
