[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Just a question about this rom. I'm sure this is a dumb question, but what is the mirror 1 mirror 2 and mirror 3?

I want to download the build 24, but don't want to do anything wrong since I haven't used this rom before.

Just curious which one I should download. I'm currently on CNA with franco kernel if that matters

The "mirrors" are just different download sources in case the main download site is full of traffic. They're just "mirror reflections" if you will, so you'll get the same B24 from any of the download sites. Just check the Md5's

Anyone else having trouble with my verizon? I just flashed B24 and everytime i open my verizon it says "Unfortunately, Verizon Login has stopped." Everytime I restore the verizon login app through titanium, my verizon works fine. But then when I reboot my phone, I have to do this again to get it working again. I tried wiping everything and flashing the rom again, but its still doing it.

Ok build 25 first impressions...the text signal works as you would expect if you're in to that sort of thing...it's big, clear, and simple for those geezers in the forum ;) and the hide nav bar is pretty cool. Keep in mind though that there are no quick controls so in order to go home, back, or recent apps, you have to go and re-enable the keys. One little thing that is somewhat...annoying I suppose about them is that the screen isn't completely extended to the bottom. There is still a little strip of black at the bottom. That's normally fine, since you're still gaining a ton of screen real estate, but when you're on the home screen for example, your dock drops down and overlaps with the little black bar. Also when you drop down the notification bar, it stops where the nav bar would normally be. Again, just a minor thing. Trust me the mod is totally 100% worth it, just a couple of minor bugs I'm pointing out. Other than that I haven't found/used any other changes. Those curious that don't wanna flash (I shake my head at you) just let me know and I'll check around. This is a highly recommended flash. Oh and by the way before anyone asks, I did a dirty wipe(Wipe Cache Partition, Advanced-->Wipe Dalvik Cache, Mounts and Storage-->Format/System) and I'm experiencing no problems whatsoever. Roman however recommends a complete data/system wipe. Not gonna pull y'all in any direction, it's always do at your own risk.

EDIT: The bug about the dock overlapping the little bar goes away if you either restart your launcher or go to another app and and then go back home

EDIT: Ok so if you use either button savior or LMT launcher don't worry about having to re-enable the buttons when ya wanna do something. I just downloaded LMT launcher and it works great. If you need a recommended set up please let me know.

Was pretty cool playing a part in the 1M views on Rootz. Got pretty wild over there last night.

25 is a thing of beauty. My guess is that Milestone 4 will be the next drop, with the Hide NavBar option perfected.

Geezer? Thats me. What is that you speak of? Text signal? The scroller at the top when a message comes in?

Oh I hope not. I don't flash milestones.

I do, on M3 now and feeling left out and Cold Turkey at the same time.
If my Old geezer battery bar form Zaphod-BeebleBrox will work on 25 I'm in.

Looks like I am going to have to jump back in from an M-build. Cannot stand it!

I guess a full wipe factory reset is in order eh?

I'm a little rusty,

  1. SDcard external backup.
  2. Nandroid.
  3. Boot to recovery, Wipe Dalvik, format /system/
  4. Wipe data / factory reset.
Or is wipe data / factory reset all I need?

Also wipe cache partition. Most of that is a just in case thing, but if you're wiping anyway you might as well

Is that the only thing? Or can I have the signal bars? I'd be really happy if they would just put 3G, 4G or SOL up there.

Have you seen this MOD?

I'm on M3 - I've considered doing nightlies, but is there an easier way than manually pushing the rom onto your phone each time you want to install an update? It may not seem like much hassle, but to me it's enough of a hassle for me not to switch.

Pushing? What do you mean pushing? Are you downloading it on your computer first?
