[Verizon] [ROM][4.0.4] AOKP ICS B40/M6/Mods (7/8)

Alllright!!!! 30 Baby!!!!
Installed last night. And I have to say....TIBU to the rescue. When I first started the romming on this phone I was really dissapointed in the recovery of apps, games etc that had extended data saved...but now with a combination of my nandroid and tibu pro key....I can pull any app with data out of a nandroid....!!!! Makes my day.
Woo hoo!!!! 4.0.4!!!!!
Too bad VZW doesn't employ devs to do updates...just have to support the devs that DO work on this stuff!!!!

There's a rom control FC when you try to put the calendar on the lockscreen, like I had on aokp 28. I saw them talking about it when I was in the teamkang chat channel, but my attention was divided, being at work. I didn't know exactly what they were talking about, until I experienced the error for myself. I can't get calendar on my lockscreen. It's not a biggie but it's a bug.

Confirmed.
Leankernel fan here too but gonna stick with Faux for a bit to see how stock B30 goes.

I switched over to Faux on B28 from LeanKernel which I had used for every build, and I found it to have slightly better battery life but a lot smoother.

Haven't had the chance to try B30 yet, how are y'all liking the nav bar mod with apps any ss's? :)

OP updated with a few themes

I love it! I'm not messing around with it too much until I can get rid of the dock and make a soft key my app drawer...but I can use all the custom images I want which rocks. For example I can finally use the pre release GNex keys and I can even change the color of them to blue (the color changer will change white keys to whatever color). And my biggest plus is the long press actions. I still have back as hold to kill, but I removed the menu from showing up and made long press recent apps my menu. Very pleased with this build and it saddens me seeing all the complaining going on over at Rootz. Great work Team Kang as always.

Before you flash a custom Kernel You guys may want to be sure and make a nandroid of the ROM on the ROM's stock Kernel so you can revert back or compare to other kernels you try.

Every so often I will restore the Stock Kernel and let Google Play update my apps and kind of even it up to the current config and then nanny that one. Always keeping the fresh ROM and stock kernel in the wings.

I does wonders for trouble shooting research.

+++++++++++++++

Also, With my color Multipliers and Gamma settings defaulted in B28, I found my B30 Mulit's maxed to the right. I defaulted them for a more realistic look, to me anyway.

Nothing so far, even with the bumps has me not smiling. :-)

Thanks for the report. b30 does come with Faux's 14m 'mainline' kernel so it's readily available for custom flashing :)

Anybody know how to run md5 check sum. Does anybody ever check? Am I lucky it always works? Downloading b30 now. I keep saying this is the last flash... gonna have to find a new vein for the needle

I usually check the first 5 digits and the last 5. You can check it by navigating to it using a file explorer and then long press on it till the menu pops up. Most that I've seen give you the option to check it from there.

Ok, I installed this last night (wiped and everything).

When I plug in to USB, it acts as if nothing happened except a charger.
Computer doesn't even register I plugged in a device.

Plugging in with the phone off or in recovery gets it recognized and restoring my nandroid backup gets it recognized, but with this rom installed, nothing at all.

I cannot get another button to appear in the nav bar or assign long press actions to the existing ones?

Is anyone else having problems with changing the color of a custom nav bar icon? Every time I try the whole square turns the color I pick.

Swagger is a placebo.

I'm sitting in the southernmost beach in key west with 3 drinks in my belly. Looks like I won't be flashing b30 till tomorrow night at the earliest...and that's only if I finish my school work quickly.

I'm looking for the "does not equal" sign on my phone, but can't find it. I'm trying to solve the equation with Key West, three drinks, and school work and I just can't seem to do it. :D
