[Verizon] [ROM][4.1.1] Bugless Beast

have you tried downloading again? it's possible that you have a bad download. I haven't seen anyone else mention problems, but I'm going to hold off before I flash until there's more response.
 
yeah it sounds like the zip file got corrupted by an incomplete download, reflash the backup and redownload the update
 
I restored my most recent backup after wiping cache, dalvik and system but it brought me back to to Bugless 4.1.1 as if I had done a complete wipe and was installing the ROM from scratch. Got the same result twice so I tried an older backup from last week and the same result. What am I doing wrong? My backups were made with the previous version of TWRP. Could that be it?
 
Looks like it's an issue with the new version of TWRP. I found a fix over at XDA. The solution is to boot to recovery then, from within recovery, boot into the bootloader then boot back into recovery and flash.
 
Installed 4.1.2 fine but I'm having problems with the screen not unlocking. Hitting the PWR button won't bring up the unlock screen and I then have to pull the battery.

Well, that didn't work. My backups won't restore. There's no error message, it just gives me a clean install of Bugless. Grrr. Oh well, I've been waiting for an AOKP milestone but since it looks like I'll have to set my phone up from scratch, might as well go see how build 4 works.
 
Switched back to TWRP 2.2.0 and it restored my backup just fine. And dirty flashing Pete's 10-10 update worked with no problem. Looks like 2.3.0 may not be ready for primetime.
 
I have BB on my Gnex and I'm trying to put a theme on it called Carbon Glass. I just read on Rootz Wiki that you had to have a ROM with Theme Chooser Capabilities. Does anyone know if Petes BB Rom has this option and if it does how would I apply this theme?

I dnt think BB has theme chooser, i know CM-10 roms have it, but BB is meant to be bare bones without alot of bloat.
 
I've been searching around and I can't seem to find a way to do this or if it's even possible.

I would love to add a mod to this ROM that would enable me to make the nav keys smaller like you can do on Sourcery or AOKP. Anyone know if that's possible?
 
does that give you more screen real estate??

Does it mess up any other programs or apps or is there just more viewable space after modding the bottom nav bar?
 
Yes to more real estate, although not much.

I've had no issues with any apps.

I don't know. I'm so jazzed with the version... well.. whatever it is... the version before the 10/31 version... I don't see much of a need to reflash.
