[Verizon] [ROM] AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 2 [4.2.2] (07.21.13) TORO

If you wipe system how is that a dirty flash?

Wiping system is wiping the OS; all data remains. However, if you wipe your system and reboot without flashing another ROM, your phone won't boot because it has no OS to boot with. All your data would still be there though :)

For those who have been on AOKP since the ICS days and have been wanting many of its ICS features back, navbar color, glow color, and glow duration, as well as lock screen wallpaper and performance settings have been merged. You should expect to see these in the next nightly!

I wish zerospeed8 was up and running. He said he don't think he's going to put up a nightly tonight.

What I really want to see is the adjustable auto brightness settings back. I swear they're a battery saver for me.

and do everything work, thts what im concerned about, i want one that going to work more than anything, features are good and all but if the basics dont work then plush options are irrelevant...

Toggles are already there. Lock screen options, if you mean custom target, has yet to be added

I still get constant drops when on 4g. And not just losing 4g, but lose everything. Phone calls, texts won't send, data does nothing. 15-30 seconds later, it's all back. So I am in Chicago with great 4g coverage, but have my phone set on CDMA only because I never drop the 3g connection.

I saw several posts back a line that you can add to build.prop that is supposed to stop the data drops from happening, but I can't see to add it. No matter what text editor I use to try to modify that file, it won't save. I get messages that say, Saving this file has failed.

How did people get this file modified? I want to add this line if it will actually prevent my data drops so that I can actually use the 4g capabilities of this phone!

FYI - I am on the 8/8 nightly build right now if that matters.

Thanks!

Are you positive that this is a ROM issue? This is a known Verizon Gnex issue especially with replacement phones manufactured in China. Mine does the same thing on 4G and did it stock as well.

No, it's done it forever no matter the software on it. But I thought putting that line in build.prop is a fix for the issue...maybe I read something wrong. I got the line added, so I guess we'll see.

Find it really hard to fathom that this is as widespread as it is, seems to be a hardware issue based on your message and VZW/Samsung has done nothing about it...

Ok. Let us know if what you did solves the problem. Would be great to be able to use 4g!

When I had this issue it was hardware. Took 3 replacements to fix it.

i used it when playing games. it's a real downer when you hit a navbar button in the middle of a game.

still want adjustable auto-brightness back.
