[Verizon] [ROM] AOKP JB-MR1 Milestone 2 [4.2.2] (07.21.13) TORO

So no more nightlies? What bout RC's and Stable builds :P?

Team Kang as a whole will be releasing builds and milestones, but not nightlies. I am a fan of this because it has gotten out of hand with all the different team members releasing various nightlies, mods needed to be reworked, figuring out how to best to maintain the OP of this thread. Speaking of which, I should probably reconfigure it again. Sheesh.:D

I agree- the nightlies we have seen included code that the entire team has not approved. It opens all of the internal team decisions on what to include to the public and puts way to much pressure on them. Team Kang has shown us in the past that their strategy turns out quality builds and solid milestones. I want that to continue, even if it means waiting a week or two for a new build. Internal team decisions do not need to become public drama.

Completely agree. At least this way when you d/l a build or milestone you have a better idea of what you will be running via changelog etc.

There's a few people on rootz posting AOKP nightlies.
Edit: which September 9 build is the title referring to?

At this point, anything referred to as a nightly is not considered official. Build 1 refers to 9/2/12. Anything after this is not considered official. I will continue to monitor the progress of AOKP and maintain this thread accordingly.

Is it ok for us to post links to unofficial nightlies in this thread?

I fully support anything unofficial, as nothing but official updates will be posted in the OP. That said, anything unofficial should be labelled as UNOFFICIAL. Furthermore, if something unofficial is posted, please be prepared to answer those questions/concerns. I am, at this point, looking to maintain an OP which is in support of official releases and do not wish to spend my time on unofficial releases. This is out of respect to the AOKP Team and, likewise, my availability. So if you post unofficial builds, you must be willing to help those who download those ROMs. I just cannot guarantee my time to extra work right now. Real life is intense. Please be respectful and mindful of this request as I otherwise intend to keep this thread fluid and informational in regard to official releases. Thank you for reading and understanding my flexible stance.

I'm confused :/

OP updated to explain what the date in the thread title means.

According to AOKP's site build 1 release is from 8/20/2012. I would expect the title to reflect the date of the build. I got over excited and downloaded this again ;)

Oh well, guess I'll play with CM10 experimental instead :D

FROM OFFICIAL SITE:
Builds will begin appearing on the JB build-1 release page as they are compiled by the buildbot.

Release Date: 20 Aug 2012

From the OP of THIS thread....
The date in the thread title refers to the date I last updated this post.

Friends,

Please read the OP, as it has changed a few times in the past week. You will have a clearer indication of how I plan to support you all. I am attempting to align this thread with that of Team Kang's decision making. Please take note of what the date in the thread title means. This is important to understand moving forward.

Thanks in advance,

Hello,

(1) I am having notification issues. When I receive an email through the standard email app., I do not receive any notification via the status bar. Receiving notifications have been enabled through the app. and LED.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is there anything I can do to fix this issue?

(2) Where is the screenshot option when you hold the power off button?

Thanks in advance.

I had enough of the bad battery life with the build 1 and reverted to a backup of the 8-15 build. Battery is more better now. Also got rid of the lag, delay.... Anybody have any idea when a new build is coming. I'm missing all the ICS stuff that is not in this rom

It's possible that both of these options aren't supported in AOKP yet, since it is only the first build.

I've also noticed that you have the same issue with #1 on every ROM you've been on. Have you confirmed that this works with just stock AOSP first to rule out hardware or app compatibility?

Hi,

No, I have not tried with stock ICS. Is it easy going back to stock ICS to do some testing?

Hi,

Same here. Battery is drained instantly with build 1.
