[Verizon] [ROM] Codename Android for JB (updated 10/2)

Looking good so far, love the ringtone delay. This Gapps didn't include Gmail but did include Maps so that's a little different.

Yes, that would be much appreciated. Been trying since last night to get a chance to download and just haven't been lucky I guess.

Just spoke with CNA to okay the upload. He's cool with it. Also said he's having server problems with the site which is causing the problems. Another good reason to donate. :D

Been running this since last night and am very impressed!! Flashed some aokp style lock screen weather icons and this ROM is near perfection!!

So, restoring contacts, wifi, Bluetooth, and a few other things from my 3.2 TiBu was a bad idea. Bricked it twice.

This was after clean installs (no dirty flashing.)

You know that's a no-no. :D

If you're going to pollute a new install by doing that, you might as well do a dirty flash.

I'm sorry for the Noob question but what happened here? What exactly did he do wrong, specifically... So I never do it, haha. Thanks.

Use TiBu to backup and restore anything. That's what went wrong and polluted the install.

MBP (MyBackupPro) or MBR (MyBackupRoot) _without_ system settings or APK data; all the way. Yeah the long way to go, but the most reliable.

Wait, I thought TiBU was considered great!? I used it to Backup and restore apps only and all seems well. I was counseled to not backup or restore data, so I haven't.

Not completely true. User apps and data can be restored most of the time. It's the system apps and data that cause problems. :)

+1.. :D

Avoid the green and red stuff and you don't usually run into trouble. (Batch install missing apps + data.)

Hello,

(1) When doing a clean flash from one rom to another rom, should I first use Titanium Backup and only backup the user apps or all user apps + system data? Then, I'd like to use Nova Launcher and backup my homescreen layout.

(2) After backing up, then I can load the new ROM and restore my backups from Titanium Backup and Nova Launcher, right?
