Me too! Can we get away with a dirty flash on this one? I'm getting lazy in my old age!

I'm with you and BB. I've spent hours setting up the new phone. I just backed it up and dirty flashed 4.3. If it gives me any problems I'll restore and do a clean install later.

I'm the first to admit I am lazy in things like this but the Sourcery team makes it worth it.

Hmmmm.....maybe I'll wait a while and see if you get any wonkyness in a dirty flash.

Having my first issue with 4.3. Bluetooth appears to be broken again. Worked so much better on 4.2 now my controls are acting squirrelly...

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using SwiftKey Flow

FWIW I dirty flashed 4.3 over 4.2 and have no issues to report at this point. I haven't used bluetooth yet but I've never had a problem with it before.

There were no changes in bluetooth from 4.2 to 4.3
the same change that was effective in 4.2 was in 4.3
let me know if you continue to have problems.
might have 1 thing for you to try.
But wipe your settings for bluetooth and reconnect.

thought i'd ask here first, but not sure this issue is specific to the ROM

playback through the headphone jack was working fine after switching to 4.1 until today

i was playing a track through the browser and it started cutting between playing on the phone and my car speakers, tried youtube to see if it was similar and the video would suddenly pause and just sit there, same for pandora

playing either on the phone only was fine with no issues...tried a reboot and the problem persisted

any thoughts?

not enough info..
was working fine on 4.1 until today. are you still on 4.1 or did you upgrade?
if your still on 4.1 and it was working fine until today than obviously its not the rom.
But if your plugging in a cable from headphone jack to car stero sounds like its loosing the connection. those cables have tiny wires and often break. experienced this many times. try with a differnt cable .

I did a dirty flash this morning and had to do a battery pull a couple hours later so I'm back on 4.2 until I have time to do a clean install.

no rom changes, so yeah, i don't think it's the rom (so this probably wasn't the place to post this, sorry:o)

tried it at the office and the same thing was happening when i plugged it in there

i'm pretty sure it's something in the phone acting up because youtube and pandora don't cut in and out, they simply pause after a while

well i reverted to an earlier nandroid of 4.1 and nothing changed

then i cleaned out the headphone jack with some air and acetone, that seemed to fix it, but after testing for a while the problem returned

so i reverted to an even earlier nandroid that didn't have lean kernel like the first two and so far so good

so right now I'm thinking it was the kernel, i had used leantweaks to adjust some settings as well, maybe that did something

edit: i think the kernel or tweaks being the culprit is even more likely as I found out I downloaded the new kernel tweaks on the 5th and had not hooked up my phone to speakers since then....

I saw that there was a kernel that turned up volume on headphone jack. they than reverted that commit stating it caused stutter. so that must of been what you were experiencing and it was kernel related.

Ok, I know I'm probably missing it somewhere but is the setting for the shutter sound gone? (And I miss the old camera, not that it matters much)

say it aint so.... your not hiding the shutter sound and taking pictures of unsuspecting people too are you? I thought that was just the chief :)

I wiped everything and flashed 4.2, using the maximus inverted apps, but had sync problems with exchange email. I assumed I could flash dirty 4.3 and max over that... nope. Still had sync problems. Wiping again and flashing 4.3 with max resolved the issues. If 4.4 requires wiping, I might sit that one out.

Sorry for the delay, Eagle, got a kid in the hospital :)

I disconnected the headset and repaired it in Settings. Controls are still wonky. What did you want me to try before going back to 4.2 and trying that?

You should never flash a full rom dirty going from one version to another... there will be issues, some more noticeable than others
