[Verizon] [rom]jbsourcery v5.4-lte[06/07/13] jb4.2.2 The Final Call

I'm still having some proximity sensor issues. I'm thinking of starting from scratch with this latest update (3.2). What's the "nuclear option" for formatting your phone before flashing? I want to wipe out ANY possibility of this issue rearing its ugly head again!

BTW, is there ANY way of backing up and restoring all of the Sourcery settings I change so I don't have to repeat this arduous task every time I wipe? I know I've asked this before (and I apologize for being repetitive), but I haven't got an answer AFAIK. Thanks for putting up with me. Love your ROM and am not even thinking of starting a relationship with another!

There is currently no way of backing up settings. With all we add and continue to add it would be a nightmare to try to maintain.

To wipe, do a factory reset she you should be golden

The standard wipe sequence is pretty nuclear...I often will perform it twice just to be safe, there's also the superwipe script that can be flashed. Don't know of any way to back up the settings someone will have to chime in on that one.

I hated the new clock too but it has grown on me. It should be easy to extract the older clock apk and flash it. I'm willing to bet someone will mod the new clock to make it better looking by making all the numbers the same and perhaps adding colors.

To get as clean as possible (clean installs usually works but hey why not try something else if you want too?) just use something like Wug's toolkit to flash back to 4.04 factory image, then take the JB ota update. This will erase everything so back up what you want to save. Then reroot, set up custom recovery, flash rom. This is probably excessive but I do this just for kicks every few months to clear off any extra bloat that has jumped on board from apps, browser, etc... Your first rom after this cleaning will be flawless guaranteed.
 
I'm not sure what's going on as it just rebooted. Here's what I did:

1) Wipe everything
2) Install ROM, GApps
3) Install TiBu, reboot
4) Install apps

While my apps were updating (backup was a couple days ago), I set it down by itself. Later I hit the power button to wake it up, but nothing. It did nothing a bit, woke up for a second, then rebooted immediately.

I noticed a lot of lag while installing my apps. I'll try another kernel and see if that's the issue.

I always do this:
Wipe data/cache/dalvik (all twice)

Flash ROM & Gapps
Reboot and wait five minutes for it to settle
Reboot into recovery, wipe cache & dalvik, flash kernel
Reboot and wait minutes for it to settle
Then restore apps, reboot and wait five minutes before using.

There's a lot going in the background after a flash, let it settle or you will see lag.
 
Can anyone help me out quickly...where would I save a notification sound so I can use as an alarm!? The defaults just don't wake me up...lol

Bear, when I retired my Droid I pulled my favorite ringtone, notification and alarm sounds off it and put it on the Nexus. Now I still have all my old familiar sounds :)

Lol...good thinking! Seems like alarm sounds just keep getting softer and softer...and they just dont cut it. I've learned to sleep in a war zone...I can sleep anywhere...lol
 
Now I'm getting random reboots (especially when I pull down the notification screen and press the power button without going back to my homescreen). The phone goes unresponsive and eventually reboots. Anyone else having this happen?

Would it help to restore an old nandroid before wipe/install? Thought that would be a little more severe than just wiping. Just a thought (and a random one at that). Oh well, time to superwipe this bad boy and flash 3.2. Guess my evening's filled up tonite!
 
I am on JBS3.2 and I love it. I do have one small issue. If it's that way then no problem. The regular browser won't sync. Suggestions? Just want to make sure I am not doing anything wrong.

Not having that issue here.

Restoring an old nandroid just to wipe doesn't do you any good. Do a factory reset and install Rom and gapps and you should be good to go
 
I'm loving 3.2 but I am having my old problem again.

None of my bluetooth stereo headset's controls work. I have to do everything on the phone. Play, pause, next... everything. I have tried the stock kernel, Lean and 2 different Trinity's. I am at a loss here.
