I wonder if I'll continue to get my promo of $20 off data per line? I'll have to check and see how it's worded....

What? You already pay for guarantees on the speed of your cable and DSL. Why should you be entitled to the same speed as someone else who's willing to pay more?
but with Cable & DSL--that's two separate types.
unless they're introducing
LTE
LTE+
LTE++
i'm paying for LTE, same service as someone else seeing that on their bill.
but i understand your point, and it is reasonable. but with the info we have now, as limited as it is, there hasn't been talk of diff levels of LTE.
but if that article is any bit true, i could see them doing that with diff data cap levels
eg 1gb= x upload speeds/x download speeds
2gb-4gb=xx upload speeds/xx download speeds

I was wondering the same thing. TALK & TEXT PLUS DATA $20 DISC ... that is how it is worded.
Why would having a higher speed connection equate necessarily to more data usage? There's only so much you can do on a phone that's not tethered. This seriously begs the question..
IF you're gonna have basically 10-20Mb/s speeds, why in gods name would you put a cap, or tier structure it.
Well, other than gouging the ever loving hell out of your customers. It's like making the speed limit in residential areas 65. You're gonna fly by those stop signs and get tickets.
yeah, honestly.. This about seals my interest for the phone. I'm gonna go find a 3g phone and be done with this crap. I don't even know why I wanted a 4G phone in the first place, I got wifi, I don't need to tether..and I'm gonna downlock the hell out of this thing because apparently the battery useage is unreal (compared to my 350mhz droid at least..YEAH THATS RIGHT 350MHZ)

How? I mean, even doing a lot of streaming radio ... I'm at a loss.lol, I checked my useage I used 3.5gb. I don't tether either. lol
That's only 1.5 gigs. Most initial docs I've seen have suggested that the cap will be set at 2 or 5 gigs.So on my verizion it says i have used 1456700.8KB so far this month, i wonder if i will end up in the higher end usage tier because i stream sirius radio a lot on my phone at work.

I really don't think this is going to be as much of a big deal as some of you seem to think it's going to be.

Same here. I average about 2 gigs of data and that is because of heavy internet surfing, Pandora internet radio and youtube. I don't ever see myself going over 5 gigs of data a month.I hope you're right. You probably are right. I consider myself to be an average user and I'm at 673446.68kb and my usage resets in 3 days. That would be $75.00 at the 150kb for $15 rate and most people wouldn't pay that (I HOPE!).
