[Verizon] Time Warner Cable and Jelly bean

Anyone using TWC tv on jellybean? It just tells me I need to update the app but it is up to date.

if you are using the hacked apk to get around the root check, time warner has blocked that app from being used, you have to download the newest version from the store

here is the fix...First unistall your current TWC apk>> goto the marker and install ES FILE EXPLORER >>go into ESFE setting and ALLOW ROOT CHANGES,then go to root folder/system and rename Superuser.apk to SU.apk... now redownload TWC app from the market and login it should work now. ***NOTE renaming the Superuser apk name DOESNT change root access or unroot your phone :dancing2:

Nope... Didn't work. Initially I was using the hacked twc app bit that now says I need to update. I uninstalled it... Renamed supersu.apk to Su.apk and installed Twc from market and it runs but will not play live tv.

Haven't tried it on my phone, but that's exactly what happens on my transformer tablet still running 4.0.3

That app is horrible in the first place. Half the time it won't let me record shows.

what ROM are you running this fix doesnt work on Cyanogen Mod ROMS

It was editing the build prop and taking out the test-keys that did the trick. Once that is done the regular market app works.

It still doesn't work well. It plays for a few seconds and then tells me "we are unable to present this channel at this time"

Can anyone give me the apk file to the latest twc tv app. I I want to use it on my nexus 7 but when I go to the play store it says my device is not compatible, but from what I heard it should run on jb so I just need the apk.

Can you go into some detail on what and where you did?

I only use it to program or cancel programs from the DVR.
I don't see the point in watching live TV on my phone since it only works over your wifi.
I'm at home, I'll just watch it on TV.

realize this thread is quite old, but there's a new version of the app and this is the newest version that works with root and test_keys: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38811014 hope it helps!
