Root very specific rom suggestions

running more tests is fine and we can go further with increasing your speed but you arent only in 1x anymore so one issue resolved...or you can take the phone back...if your phone is getting great speed and hers isnt and they are right next to each other you may want to. Make them both equal, flash her to omgb and see if it reads 3g now, then having the same prl and same tower and some rom, run a test.
 
the 2g/3g only runs on sense .. will my setting stay once i switch to gb?

edit: went outside and got 581 dl and 661 ul ... so its working now. question is will it stay once i switch to gb? only one way to find out i guess ..
 
yeah it will stay, the problem was for some reason or another it got stuck, shouldnt happen again really but if it does just restore back and "unstick" it :)

if you want 1 then you really shouldnt be looking for 2.... and 3 is pertty much inherant to all custom roms. Sense is parasitic and completely unnecessary, there are widgets available on aosp roms that completely negate the need for sense. I havent used sense since Konis ESII (which is the best sense rom ive used) and havent missed it at all. The only thing ive run into is the vzw prl thing that requires you to be in a sense rom when updating the prl... other than that, CM7 will rock your socks off (or miui if youre an i-person) either way, the aosp roms take a bit more work to get working exactly as youre currently accustomed to, but in the end, its worth it :)

parasitic and unnecessary LOL. How do you really feel mr opinion? :) Meh his issue was 3g/1x anyhow, problem solved, he moved onto AOSP, but it was OMGB not your beloved CM7 and for that i thank him :)
 
thats not an opinion, they are parasitic and unnecessary. if im wrong, i emplore you to explain how im wrong(not trying to butt heads with ya even remotely, its just what ive gathered from all ive read and whats been said in the forum homey :) ) whats omgb? man, if you dont keep on thop of these roms youre behind before you know it lol anywho, im still waking up ::smacking self in face, then dousing with buckets o cold water:: LoL ugh NEEEEEDDD MMMMOOOOOOORRRRREEEEEEE MMMOOOONNNNSSSSTTTTEEEERRRRRRR!!!!!!!
 
isnt sense just an overlay on the android operating system? and i quick scanned the 3g issue (which is why i talked about Konis AWESOME esII :P)
 
Well its not unnecessary if you like the options it provides :), yes it is an overlay but they overlaid some decent shiz :). I find things i like with both.

OMGB is a very barebones version of gingerbread, also has omfgb with a little more options. Its not based on cm7 but source itself. I cant remember exactly but i think its from r2doesinc but dont quote me there, and its not new there was a thread on it a while back.

trust me, i did not want sense ... i just thought it would fix my problem which it didn't. OMGB has been on my evo for a month or so and that is what i wanted on my mom's evo ... I have LP purchased version so i have no use for sense ...

LOL some guy told me he doubted what i told him and i got a little jacked outta shape about it. Maybe im am pissy today :D thats my second argument this week, oh and some dude on xda emailed me to argue because he was picking on a noob and i picked on him for it, talking about giving me his address and shit so i went to ask for it and he had me blocked...lame. Whats going on this week? :) where is the good will?

We buried the hatchet, but he switched roms and is not getting 3g now...weve all seen this one, sense is a liar blah blah. I said you likely werent before either and just didnt know it, then he went into he is in NY and they have 3g and he doubts that he hasnt been getting 3g...not really what i was saying in the first place, no matter though we are working on it...
 
ahhh, i wouldnt mind better 3g speeds.... im mainly using wifi when at home so it doesnt affect me as much as others(got 20Mbps dn and 2Mbps up at home) but still thats just wifi... i get about 800 kbps dn and 2?? up on 3g....

god damnit doofus why does my cable tw only give me 512k up?? what are you on that you get 2? I called they said 512k was IT
 
woah!!how fare are you from the node? the thing about cable bband service is that the node is basically a huge router, and if they dont have the badwidth to support al clients on a higher level, then theyll divvy out what they have to all users. sometimes the "premium" accts get priority and a higher up speed, but that doesnt sound like the case in your situation. Compression is also key, if tw isnt investing in the new physical hardware to comp and decomp, then youre stuck... Im using miscontinent communications (proprietary to upper midwest) and work for a dsl competitor lol!! Often times cable companies brag about theyre busrt speeds as their norm speeds, but im getting between 18-20 dn with a ping of 8 ms and 1.89 up (so i kinda rounded a lil bit there) and thats thru wireless on my lappy, desky and phone-y LoL plus, the needle SLAMS up to the speed that it stays at. The reaction time is phenominal! If you can fine a dsl provider out there that has ftth (fiber to the home) and theyre willing to put a micronode in your house, then youll get 150 dn and 50 up. Id check with verizon on the dsl front :) the only time ill reccommend verizon is for their landline and dsl service(which, ironically, most people are unaware that they offer those svcs lol)
