okay well the min codes and such were invalid for me, and my phone has been indisposed for a couple of months, but i finally got off my ass and went to metro and it took them about TEN seconds to reprogram it. i had two cases of test mode, BOTH of them happened either when we got service cut off, or right before. dunno if thats coincedence.

--Start by going here http://androidforums.com/lg-esteem/433515-prl-post-thread-current-prl-3029-a.html and download the latest PRL. Thanks Blaxican
--Plug your phone into your USB port and put the phone into "Internet Connection" and Enable USB debugging.
--Open up LGPNST from your computer. (C:/LGElectonics/LGPNST/LGPNST.exe (Notice it's already seeing my phone COM7)
DO NOT OPEN UP LGPNST_CT. Open the correct application from the location above!!!!!!!
--Navigate to "FILE" and click "Select DLL". You should see the "VS910.DLL" that is located on your desktop. Select it. (If you don't see it, go back to your desktop and right click and register it again and try again.)
--Once you select "VS910.DLL" CLICK ON THE YELLOW AREA where it says "STAND BY". Notice how the "Start" button, phone settings and other buttons are enabled now?
--Click on the "Phone Setting" button in the middle of the screen.
--It will ask for your SPC code that we got earlier from the MEID convertor. Enter your SPC code and click enter.
--You should now be looking at a screen like this
--Click the READ button down in the bottom left hand corner. Once it finishes, click on SYSTEM NAM1 on the left hand side and you should see something like this, only with YOUR info.
--We are going to edit Mobile Directory Number MDN , MIN1 and MIN2 by double clicking in the area below "Value 1".
-MDN- YOUR 10 digit phone number
-MIN1- YOUR 7 digit phone number (NO area code)
-MIN2- YOUR 3 digit area code
Also make sure you have SOMETHING in Home SID. I've seen a couple people that have had this missing. If it's empty try entering in 6503. That's the one I see the most.
Click WRITE once you have entered the info.
--Once that is done the window will close out, or close it out, and go back to the main screen of LGPNST.
Now we are going to enter the PRL
--On the main screen. Click PRL/ERI beside "UPGRADE".
-Click WRITE. Then PRL. Then NAM1. And select the folder icon beside NAM1 and navigate to the desktop and click on the PRL that you downloaded earlier.
--Once you've entered the PRL. Click START and let it run. Your phone will reboot once it's finished. (If you get an error, try another PRL)
When your phone reboots you SHOULD be back to normal working order out of test mode and with full service. YAYAY!!!
CANT MAKE CALLS BUT HAVE SERVICE?
-The HOME SID that we entered might not be the correct one for your area. Just call Metro and tell them you have service but cant make calls. They will get you straightened out.
-Your MIN is one of those that might be different from your phone number. Call Metro PCS and they will take care of it for you.
-Test mode is bitch, plain and simple. For whatever reason this has started happening a lot lately and for no reason. Unfortunately I was one of the OG's of the test mode crisis and luckily following these steps got me back to normal working condition.

I tried to be as in depth as possible so just re read if you have any problems but feel free to ask away.
Everything worked fine up until i added my spc then i got an error saying ERROR: UNABLE TO LOAD [LGNPST_PORTMANAGER4.DLL] idk if i did something wrong? i followed all of the steps and my phone isnt in test mode.

Make sure you entered the numbers correctly to get your spc.

Hmm. The spc never changes. It's unique to the phones meid. It's basically a password for your phone. It must be a glitch in the program then. I've never once heard of this ever happening. I would run through the lgnpst install files, reboot and try again.
What part of the process are you at?

ive finished the the test modefix. once to get to FILE and select DLL it looks like its about to work then all of a sudden, i get that error.To me it seems like it cant get to that specific dll but when i check its there where it should be.

if im out of test modecouldnt i just bring myphone to metro pcs and have them reprogram the information?

Not sure honestly.
So can you select the dll from the file menu? Does it error at that part? You registered the dll right?
You can also program the phone through the hidden menu. I think its ##626* then enter the SPC. You can google to double check. Then once inside youll have to find your nam, min info and just change it. If all that works then you will have to dial *228 to update the PRL. Not sure if it will all work that way as Ive never tried it but it can be done.

once i choose the dll it works fine, when i input my spc it gives me the error saying it cant reach component 4 somethinglike that.

I mean I hate to say it but this is the first time out of at least 100 people using this guide that has reported this type of problem. I've never heard of having an error with the SPC other than it being the "wrong" SPC. The issue has to be in the installation.
Like I also said, you can input the info through the hidden menu as well. Being that I dont have an Esteem I cant give you step by step by step on how to do it. But I remember that it only takes common sense to do it. Other than that, I don't know what else I can tell you.
If you decide to keep the phone, you can send it to me and I'll fix it for you. I've had several people do this that either didn't have the time, didn't want to mess with it or couldn't figure it out. Just pay shipping both ways and throw me something for my time. I ship it back out the same day I get it so the turn around is usually just a few days.
Otherwise, Enjoy the Iphone.

I really dont want to go back to i phone, so im gonna try to reinstall everything from scratch, if it still doesnt work then im going to reinstall the original firmware, and bring it to metro then they could reprogram it. Then ill re root it and put on the newest rom. Does that sound like it would work? Or is it not possible to go back to original state from rom #2?? And thanks for the responses. I appreciate it.

None of that will work. Roms and all of that doesnt have anything to do with the actual phone info. Trust me, I've tried. This problem is localized to LG phones, mainly the Esteem and Revolution. LG doesn't even know the problem exists nor does anyone know what causes it. I wish I did know but my efforts of searching have failed.
Metro could go in and enter your info in. They will go into the hidden menu just like how I told you to earlier on.
I would do that first before you go to Metro cause they are going to do what you can do easily through the hidden menu. I think its ##626* and then enter your 6 digit SPC. Cant remember which option you choose after that but I think its obvious. It will display your phones info, one at a time ex. MDN, MIN, etc... and it allows you to change it. More than likely they will all be blank. Try this first. If you enter all the info then dial *228 option 5 to reset your PRL.

alright perfect ill try that, but when you say open the hidden menu how do i access that? im sorry if thats a slow question, im familiar with how to flash and all that other stuff but this is new to me. And if all else fails if your willing to fix it up for me ill give you a fine amount for fixing it up. I appreciate all the help once again.

Enter your SPC
Choose the option that looks like it will take you to phone info. Dont remember which one it is.
it will show you one at a time. MDN, MIN, MEID etc...... Enter YOUR info and click ok. Phone will reboot once your done. THEN dial *228 option 5 and let it reset the PRL. Phone will reboot. Try it out and see if it works.
If you have more problems and cat get it, Ill be more than happy to fix it for you. We'll talk about that when that time comes so let's try all other methods first. Let me know how it goes.

Not sure when I'll have the time and when I'll be near my pc.
The hidden menu does goes work as I've done it several times before when I had the phone. Editing numbers and what not. I mean it's how you program the phone manually so there is no "doesn't work" per say.
What "doesn't work"?
