Root [VIDEO GUIDE] Test Mode/No service fix (# to Hidden Menu)

yea thanks i fixed it, but the next day i froze on instagram and got right back into test mode while, why is this happening? is it because im on using a rom?

We dont know why its happening honestly. No its not because of a ROM because its happening on bone STOCK phones. It started happening more frequently here in the past 2 months. I really dont know what to do to prevent it, I wish I did.

Man I tried step by step over and over and still get no service!! Called customer support did the whole ##662* thing over and over nothing....everything seems to work good but after everything I still get unknown in all three fields under settings and about phone no phone number no prl no nothing!! Is there a more in depth setting I need to reprogram here? Any input would be helpful...

If you went in and manually changed the info with LGPNST then there is no reason for it to still be blank.

Also when doing the ##626* method and entering 578846 and then "edit" I think, you can enter the info that way. But I use LGPNST, which is why it's in the guide, because you are pushing the info to the phone.

All I can say is try LGPNST again because there is no reason for it not to take the info.

I been trying both methods ALL day long and still nothing...even tried with QPST and still nothing I dont know what to do...

Yeah I had the same exact problem on my phone. I could not write my spc in and gave me an error. I went to metro and they told me that the phones info had been wiped clean. So I had to get a replacement. But back then this thread didn't exist. So the odds are in your a favor a lil bit. Have you gotten out of test mode?
 
Yup its out of test mod and I also took it to metro and said that I am out of warranty because it was rooted...I unrooted it before taking it but they said they can tell because my lifetime calls were all zero. I been searching the web and trying different methods and programs and nothing... All the service and carrier info has been wiped...I am hoping someone out there could fill in the blanks for me when using the LGPNST program because some fields are missing or incorrect for MetroPCS.
 
tried that with no luck.... I dont know what it is but there must be some code thats not letting me write to the phone. Does anyone know how much LG would charge if I sent it to them and they find out it was rooted?
 
That seems so strange. I havent seen a phone yet that WONT let the person write data to it. Makes no sense. I dont know about metro and their policys and amounts and what not.
 
Can someone help-PLEASE! I got my phone out of Test Mode, thank you!! but- I did that 1st b/c I thought it said to go down to test mode... So went back & did step by step but I keep getting an error code when I try to R click to register. I have spent 5+ hours on this, re-downloaded soo many times... I'm at the end of my rope. ANY help SOOOO appreciated!!

Your trying to register the dll and it wont let you?

Make sure uac is off. Make sure your firewalls and anti virus programs are off then try again.

If the steps and downloads are not installed correctly then the dlls won't register. Make sure you reboot after the installs too.

Just double check your steps. It's always something simple. :)
 
If you don't have it by the time i get off work in about 4 hours, I'll one on one it with you when i get home on my pc.

Breathe. It's going to be okay. ;)
