Root [VIDEO GUIDE] Test Mode/No service fix (# to Hidden Menu)

Message gbiggie or fuzzy their the test mode champs. Sorry I can't be of help, I've never been graced with the privilege of test mode.

just downloaded it and opened it up with no problems. Make sure anti virus is off cause it will block it.
 
third time in test mode, yes. had the previous phones returned and got a refurbished replacement. this time i bought another phone and kept the esteem which i am trying to fix. i am pretty sure instagram is what caused it each time.
i will try to DL it agian w/o antivirus. thank you guys!
 
ya it didnt work again. window popped up stating "LG Test Mode Repair has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" tried DLing it 4 times now.

This is "during" the download or after the download has finished?

Ahhh. Well it's def. something on your computer then thats blocking it. That or the download is getting cutoff early somehow and its corrupted. Check the downloaded file size against actual file size it says in zippy.
 
damn, ive tried DLing this file for 3 weeks and altho its DLs, it wont open. ill keep trying. thank you very much, hopefully i can get this figured out.

yeah its something with your PC. I could upload it somewhere else and give you another link but it will do the same thing.

Have you changed pc's since the last time? You are extracting the file right from the zip?
 
ya i been using the same computer the whole time ive been attempting to open this file, its on my pc 5 times now, extracted but crashes/errors out when i click to open the prog.
pretty sure im doing everything right.

Try and use a different program to extract it. 7zip, peazip, winrar, etc....
 
I think my phone is in test mode too it won't make or recieve calls or text messages but the net still works 0.0 i know u explained everything on how to fix it but here lies my problem i am really dumb n do.t understand.. :( i like a air head chick i guess .us there a number i can call for lamen term directions or maybe you could e mail me simple direvyions i setiously get confusedand am dyslexic uoh please help me i been phoneless for four days!!!!

Just go ahead and follow the first post on here-the direction is pretty cut and dry. I'll be hanging around so just post up here if you have any obstacles:)
 
Hi, this is my first time in test mode and sadly I already factory reset my phone. Which deleted the 21k+ texts between me and my long distance bf ( I know that has nothing to do with anything) I read the guide and it says if you have internet service go straight to Test Mode Fix section. Does this mean I don't do anything in the sections inbetween?
 
Also you said "unzip the three FOLDERS" the drivers dl is not a folder. How do I "install the DRIVERS exe in the drivers folder." if there is no folder to begin with? It is just an exe file

Also you state "Right Click and "merge" the Right_Click_Register.dll" in the installation parts but the fill does not say Right_Click_Register.dll it is Right_Click reginter_Dll.reg

The drivers dont get put anywhere, they get installed.

You install the dll, some systems say different things on dll installation.

Read the directions and pay attention. There is also a video that goes through the installation as well. Many people have done this without a hitch and 9/10 if an issue arises, it's on the person PC so make sure all anti virus programs are off and firewalls are set to accept.

I did pay attention. That's why I noticed these discrepancies. I;m just trying not to cause further damage to these electronics. But this system did work and I thank everyone that helped make it possible. But I have bars but can't make calls. When I press #, the hidden menu didnt show up and when i called metro, they said I had to go in to fix it. I'm sure there is a simpler way

If your service wasn't "zeroed" out due to test mode and everything looks kosher inside of LGNPST then yes, this guide isn't for you because it's not dealing with whatever problem ails you.

This guide helped. I was in test mode but after going through this when I try to make calls it goes into the "collect call" things and I'm sure any suggestions on here is better than anything Metro would tell me

Ah. Plot thickens.

Someone else had this issue. It was the first time I had seen it in all the 20 something test modes that I had personally been involved with. Service and data were enabled but when a call was made it was a collect call. Is this your issue?

My suggestion is to call metro and tell them what the problem is. They will then take you into the hidden menu on the phone and ask you what number is where and so forth and they will tell you to enter any numbers that are wrong.

If you DO do this, please report back with any changes that metro told you to make. This was if the information is helpful and isn't defined solely on a specific users phone, we can use the info to help future problems with this issue.
