Use Jing and just record on screen instead of pointing camera at it. might be more work though to show what your doing on the phone. going to give this a shot soon.

To pure pursuite, Yes I got the Drivers are up to date....the videos dont say anything about that, I just kept going and everything was ok. The first video was very hard to see what was going on, put the camera on a mount....I used the 2nd post of videos and had no problems. It would be nice if we could see a larger view of the CMD prompt, it would help a little bit. Other than that I just wanna say thanks guys for taking your time to make these videos and help us....DROIIIDDDD!!!
 
Ok i got the driver to install (i just reconnected my dx and it decided to work). however, now the .\exploid step isn't working for me. everything else before it worked. i touch the bluetooth widget right before i press enter for ./exploid and then i press enter but it says "." isn't recognized...

edit: ok i just realized that it errored because somehow i accidentally had the c:\sdk\tools\ in there and apparently i put in ./exploid right after that so it ended up being "c:\sdk\tools\./exploid"
i already tried starting over but it keeps saying device not found and i made sure it was still in usb debugging and pc mode.
help!

edit: ok i have found out my problem. everytime i unlock the screen (for instance, when i go to touch the bluetooth button before i hit enter for ./expoid), for some reason it disallows usb debugging. as long as the screen is locked it allows usb debugging. which is kind of a big problem since i need to unlock the screen to touch the bluetooth or wifi widget. HELP!

edit: ROOTED!!! for some reason when i put it on charge only mode, usb debugging would continue even after i unlocked the screen. so basically i did everything from charge only mode and things seem to be working.
 
Once more without the jumping around, a steady camera and some volume, please :)

OK. I see the later vids. MUCH BETTER!

Gonna wait for "Rooting For Dummies" also. I need a step by step vid on a unit not already rooted.
 
This may be a dumb question but does one version do something different? Another words do these videos run the same ROM? Or do all these root videos do the same thing, giving us the same access (to removing bloatware / wifi tethering)... anybody see what i'm trying to say?
