Virgin Mobile gets iPhone

Okay i know that this phone just came out but now VM will Also have the iphone 4 and the 4s, starting on June 29. (If u don't believe me go and see on VM website) Now i have to ask who is going to be going away from android and going to apple ?

Nope, EVO V is just what I wanted.

Yeah, just was I was hoping for ... another iOS device with no expandable memory. I think I'll stick with Android for now.

Plus sprints 3G sucks and so does the 4G(But it's good for paying $35 and having a beast phone). My average 3G is 700KBs and average for 4G is 4mbps.

I think VM is trying to get more customers since there are a few good devices (evo, lg, and the iphone) with the wimax on sprint launch in this spring. It's a good step cause more ifanboys will die into the cheaper plan with an iphone. I hope VM will provide us better service, cause you know if someone has an iphone on hand with slow 3g or may be 4g.... lol

People keep saying it's going to be $600. I haven't seen anything definitive on price yet. And since. With Cricket supposedly selling the 4S for $500, I can't imagine why VM would sell it for $650. I believe they will also sell it for $500, but maybe a 8GB model. Just a guess.

The prices I was shown are ridiculously high though they are in talks about possibly giving rebates. A lot of us retailers/employees are cringing at the prices too.

I'll have a load of fun selling a phone I dislike for a price I can't stand when my competitor has it for less anyways. LOL

I've read that there will be a $5 discount on your service if you opt into using auto-pay. I'm hearing this will only be for the iPhone.

That's something I hope isn't just a rumor.

You also won't be required to get the $55 dollar service, That and the discount are the only two advantages I'll have over Cricket.

I tweeted Virgin Mobile about this yesterday and they tweeted back saying that "at this time it is only being offered for the iPhone". I told them that that policy is quite frankly a load of crap...I don't see how it is fair to offer it to one group, but not offer it to all other Virgin Mobile customers. They just responded saying that they would "pass my feedback to the proper department for review". Total BS.

Got this from Engadget.

Both the iPhone 4 and 4S will be up for grabs on the Beyond Talk data and messaging plans from $35 per month or $30 when registering for automatic payments. The price you pay for not having a contract? That'll be $649 for the 16GB 4S or save $100 by going for the 8GB iPhone 4.

$550 and $650??? Seriously, apple makes nice stuff but I don't get the part where they charge double what everyone else does, and people just pay it. Apple marketing, the real reason behind the success of iWorld. You just ain't cool unless you have an iphone!

The evo kicks the crap out of these phones. Or if you are an apple fan, it's at least as good. And apple fan or not, it's half the price. Half! Bigger screen, more powerful, removable battery, expandable memory, 4G... I guess if you like apple products and don't get any 4G in your area, it might make sense. In that case though, it seems you might actually be better off on a postpaid carrier for these phones, given the high price of entry.

The special monthly discount for iphone users is total bs but that's how apple rolls. They are a bully. You follow their rules or you don't play at all. So backwards for a technology company.
