Root [Virgin Mobile] Wifi tether Samsung galaxy victory?

VM tries to block them. I've successfully tethered with a Kyocera Rise, PCD Chaser, LG Optimus V, and HTC Wildfire S but have yet to get it working on the Victory.
 
I have a Samsung admire and can't get a hotstop app from any site to work.this website I was on last said that there r serdent phones like mine and LG optimum and others r not supported by them.whatever that means?????
 
Yep, that works for me. Very easy to use. I've used WifiTether before on my previous phone so it's familiar.

I have to say the Optimus V was the easiest phone to tether! Because of a simple bug all you had to do was install any Hotpot widget and use it. No mods or root access needed. Of course once VM caught wind they installed a patch for their new devices, not in an OTA update but just in their unsold devices. Good times.

But with the Victory, once rooted, just download the modded WifiTether, set the two options as noted, and it works. Still pretty easy, if you ask me.

I did these exact options and also added the "Send Netd Max Client Cmd" - Checked

I've been connected through encryption for a few hours now, my home internet went out tonight.

Reading the last few pages of the above link, seems some are starting to have problems with the hotspot recently. I am looking in to buying a Virgin Mobile Galaxy Victory and will need the hot spot to work. Can anyone confirm they are not having problems with the hot spot?

I would have signed up and asked there, but I am tethering now and you cant sign up there via mobile network--LOL

I have the wireless tether for root trevE mod. With the config in the other post about wireless, it works great. :)

I have tried using this method but get an error message and no tether. I try to stop tether (the tether symbol is showing) but it will not stop and I get another error message asking if I am rooted (which I am). Any help?
 
I can confirm that those settings work with that apk. Just surfed around on my laptop for an hour or so since my internet won't be moved til Friday. dang centurylink.
