Help Volume Rocker

Mine isn't as loud as the others I saw in the store. I don't like the fact that I have to improvise on my device to make it the way it should be. My original fascinate had ZERO play in it.
I totally agree with you, Samsung clearly overlooked the fit and finish of this phone.

If you're happy with your Inc. you should probably stick with that...tried and true.
There are no perfect phones. My friend went through 2 droid Xs because of dead pixel issues. I had a little rattle too and what worked for me giving the back a slight bend right before I put it on. It's not completely gone, but a lot better.
Well good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I think the volume rattle is a pretty common thing that these phones have I can live with it. as a matter of fact, i hadn't noticed it until it was brought up here. I grabbed my brother phone (not a fascinate) the the rocker rattles a bit too when shaken. I honestly wouldn't worry about it. especially if the rest of the phone is fine.

Your post made me think about this too since like you I didnt even notice it till it was brought up. [I mean who shakes their for next to their ear listening for rattle?] Anyway, my son's LG Voyager does not rattle on the volume rocker nor does any of my older phones I dont even have active anymore like LG VX 8300. So there probably is something with the design. I'd stop short of calling it a flaw but its something

If you're holding the cover flat, with the outside pointing up, did you bend it up or down? I couldn't logic a reason for either way >.<.

Let me add this wiggle to your rattle.

The 'down' on the volume rocker will stick and send my phone into silent .. or my media into silent .. when i just want to knock it down a degree or two.

It's epically frustration.. you could say.. it's frustratingly fascinating.

</bad comedy>

I got mine at BB.. with their protection. So, if all else fails and they can't fix it, I guess I'll get a new phone.

Moonfire,

with the outside pointing up i flexed the top/bottom up (kinda like a U). but you can try both. My phone did not rattle when i first got it and started when I took off the cover to change the SD card, that's why i thought I had caused it.

Good luck.

That does nothing for me!

Dude, mine does the exact same thing! Started yesterday. I tap volume down once and it'll either take it down two notches or take it completely to silent. Annoying!!!

Any fixes?
