Help Volume up button stuck

Hi the volume button that goes up on my optimus v is stuck and it wont let me change the volume. I know it is a hardware problem as it doesnt work in the recovery either. I have tooken apart the phone but have found nothing wierd. I do not need the volume keys as i can control it from my widgets and apps. How can i remove or what can i do to fix it? if i cut the wire that connects the volume to the up and down what would happen?

Is it still under warranty? Have you tried some compressed air to see if dust or something has it stuck?

No i dont have a warrranty . and yes i took the whole phone apart and checked for something. what if i just cut the volume belt connected to the buttons?

If your rooted download and install the new touch screen recovery. If you can still control the volume with apps and it doesn't keep you from performing any phone functions: you would be better off leaving it connected (you might figure out how to un-stick it later).
