VZW Employee available for questions!!

if you do not have insurance and no lines available for upgrade you can do Certified Pre Owned. CPO you can get a totaly different phone. it does not use an upgrade or extend your contract. you get a 1 year warranty with the phone and the phone battery and back and charger. you can do this option once a year if your phone is broken or lost and no insurance. the price you pay on the phone is close to the 1year price on the phone bt you do not extend your contract. still better than doing full retail or getting a used phone and have no warranty.

i also work for verizon and if you do not have insurance and no lines available for upgrade you can do Certified Pre Owned. I would think that if you are buying used/refurbished, that you are not paying full retail. I presume you were talking about through VZ, but that's not the only option out there!

Just make sure the phone is "released" from the PO. But that might be an alltel relic, lol. Basically they used to lock the imei if you were the last owner, and nobody else could use it unless you called into release it.

So.... VZ reps... is that still the case?

now i remember why i dnt post anything in these forums. no matter how someone trys to be helpful and help someone answer a question or how to get a new phone, you guys have to be a**clowns and dis on them. bt it dnt matter peace out have fun trying to make urself feel like a better person by dissing on someone else cause you are a douche yourself

Any word on if Verizon or any 3rd party vendors will release a case for the 2150 extended battery (w/ cover)?? or another style car dock (cup holder style)?

I recently ordered the 2150 extended battery and i love it.. until I started to miss my red black gradient case. So I decided to motify the case and now I can have my cake and eat it too.

Time for me to chime in with my oversized red font. As soon as I saw this thread, earlier today, I must confess that I became very uncomfortable. The concerns I had were:

1) How do we keep this thread from becoming a mean-spirited flame war. (It seemed the perfect type of thread for that.

2) Why would a VZW employee come here to help? What if this wasn't on the level?

However, inasmuch as I like to believe the best of everyone involved, I'm going to let this thread go for now with the following warning. As soon as it gets mean, in any way, I'm going to bring in MOD help to either delete threads or more directly shut this down altogether. In other words, I want you to know I've got the security cam on this thread. Be nice to each other. Carry on.

^^That's orange. :P

Anyways, just wanted to pop in and say thanks to the guys on here actually trying to help. Even though you aren't allow/may not have all the info that people are asking for. It's very cool of you to come on here just for the sake of trying to help others with it--esp with the chance of getting flamed for no reason, which is more common that should be. heh

thanks for the appreciation some people just like to complain and nothing better to do than flame others.

Pretty sure he works in a call center that contracts to verizon in Newark, NJ...

hey 09, I'm pretty sure neco was talking about the OP and not you. Then again, I could be wrong. Either way, it is what it is- as that oh-so-annoying saying goes.

What a bizarre thread. I wonder what Verizon corporate would think of it..

Bets are that corporate would have some tight butt who would try and find the posters and discipline them in some way, just because they can. On the other hand, I doubt most of them care 2 licks what happens here.

While I appreciate the people coming here willing to share info, the truth is that most of the info they can share is stuff a quick call to Verizon is going to give you. Yes, it is nice to have it here, but I think I could answer most questions myself without any inside knowledge. I was in customer service/sales for years and the answers to questions are pretty standard.

Anyway, thanks for being available and taking the time here.

Sort of technical question. Can you delete multiple messages from the gmail app. I look in the trash folder, but I can only delete one item at a time. I have 5 email accounts routed to it so I get like 15 to 20 a day.

Hey VZ techs/sales associate(s)..got a question.

My story is - I bought the Palm Pre, and I hated it. Switched to the Motorola Droid within

the 30 day period.

Found out the HTC Incredible came out, fell in love with it. And obviously the 30 days

had passed. So I found a GREAT deal on craigslist for the HTC Incredible ($230 w/o

contract). Then went on Ebay and sold my Moto Droid.

So being that I did not directly purchase the HTC Incredible from Verizon, can I still add

insurance to it?

Steven58 start putting people in a TIMEOUT place who can't play nice, don't let a few ruin it for everyone.

My question for Berry2Droid...

Any idea about the availability on the video out cable for viewing/displaying the Incredible screen on a TV screen. Thanks

To all VZW employees who have posted....

Just a quick thanks coming from all members of this forum. Nice to have someone on the inside to answer some questions that the rest of us would have to fight tooth and nail with Big Red to get an answer to. Please ignore the flames and inappropriate posts about intentions, knowledge, etc.....As with anything in life, there will be supporters and non-supporters.....Those of us who aren't angry at the world, appreciate your assistance. Please continue to answer questions as you see fit....

From Boy Genius Report....

Update: After digging a little deeper, we’ve heard that actually only select stores might be closing early, and there’s really nothing behind it. Carry on…
