Wait for Evo or Keep Hero

I have had my Hero for about 24 days and i really do enjoy having it, but i have been reading about the Evo. So i'm at an tuff place. Should i keep my Hero or return it and wait for the Evo?
 
it was an upgrade. i like it, but the evo seems like it will be a better over all phone
 
Eh, yeah, I'd wait for the EVO. I've got a Hero coming (sold my HTC Touch Pro since I was sick of the crappy touch screen and constant freezing), but my upgrade doesn't come 'til late July, so I'll have the benefit of at least seeing the initial reviews in June and can go from there.
 
I've had my Hero for about six months. I do have an upgrade due by the time the EVO comes out and I will indeed get that phone. I loved my Hero. I had no problems with my Hero and it wasn't rooted at all. It always performed well for me. I will probably sell my Hero but I will be sad to see it go. The EVO just has a barrage of possibilities especially because of the wifi hotspot ability. I could carry my phone and ipod touch and laptop and be online wherever I am.
 
The evo is huge. What i dislike about the evo is its size. Does it have a slide out keyboard? I hate a slide mechanism also. What i like about the evo is its snapdragon processor. Chances are ill wait till there is more 4g coverage and the price isnt 200+ with a contract.

Well, if you purchased the Hero on release day like I did.. you won't have an upgrade by the time the EVO is released. You and I both would have to wait until October to purchase the EVO for the upgrade price.

Yes, if you return the phone, the upgrade has not been used then and still applies if you remain with the contract terms (upgrade).

You should also have the option to BACK out of the upgrade if that is what you chose to do (Not re-sign/extend contract) if you don't wish being that you have not received any benefit from Sprint. One caveat may be if you upgraded from an OLD account, one that which is not offered or in the system anymore, you might not be able to get THAT TYPE of account back. Once removed from the system, those accounts cannot be re-established.

Call CS or go back to the store where you got phone and it should not be a problem.

U need a laptop with the EVO on deck?, J/K. Can't wait to get one and charge all my friends to be around me. :p
 
that is a good question, which i think is more up to each individual...

My upgrade will not be available till Dec!.. I want the EVO very very bad...

but here is my thoughts on this....
From what I have read.. this phone is being rushed through to be first to market! With new techs. 2.1 is not native with 4G, so there will be a work around for it. 2.2 should have 4G native to android, but that might not be available at time of release and maybe an upgrade that you will have to wait for!

With all new tech, may have issues and problems. So I am happy to wait till Dec.. let others be the testers and work out all the bugs.

I want the EVO ASAP!!! but do I really want all the complaining ????

There's always been complaining... the new 'Incredible' craze has their forums jammed with issues and complaints and shit, pardon my french. (I know, it sounds like shit, I need more work in my French accents).
 
I don't like big phones!! Sometimes I think that my Hero is a little too big. I wouldn't wait for the Evo, but for a phone smaller than that one!
 
In my opinion the EVO will be an awesome phone but just as stated before the size is extra large. I didnt realize how big it was until I seen the HD2, same size. Its pretty big. But for someone like me who carries it in a pouch in her purse and not in a pocket, the size it more of a benefit. I could see the issue with putting it in your pocket and always worrying about cracking the screen if you bump into something...
 
go look at the hd2 before you make a decision. The size alone may turn you off. I like the evo but I think the size of the phone will be a problem for some.
 
If it means anything I'm ditching my Hero and getting the Evo when it comes out.

I have an upgrade on my spare line that's eligible and Im buying it at Best Buy. Then my buddy who works for them is going to transfer it to my line after the sale. Lol, so I'll get the instant rebates and my phone for upgrade pricing.
 
I know that by the time the evo craze has gone down there will be a new phone that will be even better than that one...so I'll keep my hero and wait for that other phone that will hopefully have a smaller screen and no slide out keyboard ( does the evo even have a slide out keyboard)

the evo does not have a keyboard
