Wait till 4g to get an Incredible.

So a friend at work is wanting to get an Incredible but is wanting to know if anything is going to change with it when Verizon turns on their 4G. I told him I'd find out. I kinda figure there will be an update, but I'm not sure. Anyone know anything?

The incredible is not going to be updated to 4g.. however the Incredible HD with a bigger screen is rumored to be coming out in early February next year and should be a 4g phone

Yeah we will not be getting 4g service, however most of early bird incredible buyers will be fairly close to their 1 year early upgrade!

4g will also be double to price. 59.99 a month. no thanks. Ill keep my unlimted plan for 30$ with 3g im happy now.

Ok thanks for the info. So is the site I found about the hidden 4g menu a bunch of bs? I didn't really read much as I was leaving work. But here it is.
HTC Droid Incredible for Verizon has Hidden 4G Settings Menu - SlashGear so what it going to be the big difference between the 3 and 4. I haven't really paid much attention.

The 4g menu does exist, but it is not enabled nor is it capable on the incredible. Their is no 4G radio. The incredible hardware simply does not support 4g. The reason for the menu is because HTC develops for many different phones (think EVO 4G) which are similar and therefore share many software similarities.

If 4G is $60 for a cell data plan (not the USB dongles) then Verizon won't sell it to anyone.

I agree. This is the first time I've heard about LTE being double the price. No one will pay for that, it's just crazy. Sprint's doesn't cost that much extra, so why would Verizon's?

I read it somewhere, can't find link, but makes perfect sense, they sell 3g for $30 unlimited, 9or did) and now are even greedier with their new policy for data, and 4g makes sense being $60

I'd like to see your source. That price doesn't make much sense to me given the fact that Sprint is charging significantly less and ATT will charge less as well I would assume. Being greedy isn't about charging whatever price they want, its about maximizing profit, which is something all companies do.

They haven't even announced a 4G phone yet how could anyone know the pricing that Verizon will be offering? It's speculation at this point IMO. $10 a month extra on Sprint isn't going over well I doubt double the price would really be a good selling point.

I could very well be proven wrong, but I highly doubt Verizon 4G LTE will be priced at $60 per month. More likely, Verizon will just eliminate unlimited altogether in favor of tiered pricing.

That wouldn't be very smart for them to charge more than their fios broadband service. I SPECULATE it will be around the same pricing as 3g. Maybe 10 bucks more.

Please do not post pricing that has not been announced. Their are speculation threads for that. All it does is start a big vicious snowball of rumors.

Ridiculous! And two years down the road we will all have no choice but to be on 4g. Money hungry assholes! Why would it be 20 bucks more?

Something like that... It's always one thing after another with Verizon, a little pinch here a little pinch there. It's becoming the executive network.

So its the same price as the MiFi pricing. 5GB/$50. It's actually $10 cheaper than the 3G USB modems at 5GB/$59.99

I guess we'll have to wait for Voice + Data plan info.....
