Theres still a backdoor behind i signed recovery and bootloader though, one is in progress for the Optimus 4X, last i checked it is working now too.

Depends how similar the phone is...

i dont think so, the optimus 4x uses a tegra chip

It uses a quadcore processor, but the software is similar, the way the recovery system works for the 4X it could work for our phone as well, i am actually gonna start on working on a process for us based on the 4X solution.

at this point in time the bootstrap method will prolly be the best shot. Unfortunately I've never dealt with a bootstraper on the dev side of things lol

Well i tryed it out and i installed the 4x hd recovery superuser grant me permision, so i thought everything went well,but it didnt lol when trying to boot in recovery its know stuck on the metro pcs logo.So it was a no go

someone is working on using the bootstrap method from the 4X recovery...

hold your hats and horses...it will come when it's done...

basically what is happening is someone is porting the 4X recovery to our phone...

i don't think it can get any clearer than that...

Hope you can uunbrick it. Even with this recovery there's still no chance of a custom kernel I don't think. I wanted a shot at overclocking this beast.

For me it is lol. I've been trying to unbrick for 2 days already and its frustrating idk wth im doing wrong. Im doing all the steps correctly but all I get is a "File Extract Error" during the end process... sigh
