2 MetroPCS Easy Wifi ( IF YOUR METRO )
3 Virtual Card
4 Documents to Go
5 Games ( NOT REALLY GAMES )
6 Online Banking
7 Mocospace
8 Uno ( Demo )
9 Pocket Express

I would recommend downloading Juice Defender, there is a free version which will help your battery dramatically. Want to learn more about Juice Defender? Click the link below, and if you like it, purchase the full version (ultimatejuice)

Extend your battery life with Juice Defender for Android

I would also recommend trying LauncherPro, this will alter the UI of your phone with tons of tweaks and options. Just by enabling LP on your phone will cause you to notice a decent speed increase. Want to learn more? Click the link below

There are a few others, and other members here have their own options and recommendations for you my friend. That is all I can offer as I am starving and want to go get taco bell.

I'm not Jazziette by any stretch of the imagination,but,I may be of some assistance.

1)Try long-pressing on any screen,this should bring up a option list.(press shortcuts,then press Launcher Pro activities)then,scroll down to L/P,press on L/P,and scroll down,then select "Preferences"
2)After you are done there,press menu,
preferences;you should see a list of categories to assist in setting up Launcher Pro.

If you still have questions,Jazziette can help you,she'll probably check in later this A.M.

Is there a particular reason why you use 576000 max? Our cpu's run at 600mhz stock. Until an overclocked kernel is released, we are basically just doing cpu management. You are only underclocking your cpu. Battery life is the only reason I could think to do that.

Yes I got rid of all those apps except metro easy wifi, I wasn`t aware that I could do that. It wont mess up my wifi capability will it. What is overclocking and is setpcu the only app I could and or should use for this. I am looking into juice defender and launcer pro right now. Thanks alot and enjoy your taco bell lol!!

Removing Easy Wifi WILL NOT break your wifi. It's just add on to your wifi which really does nothing but drain your battery more.

NY, Do you happen to know what the stock Wifi is on the Metro Ascend? I just assumed it was Easy Wifi.

Ewifi is gone, Launcherpro & juice deferender installed. Lp is fast and Jd I should leave it on default being that Im new and if I mess with any of the options I could mess up the phone right? Since I`m going to be running Launcher Pro is it ok to delete canvas? Whats next and what does setcpu do? Forgive my curiosity and many thanks for the help thus far.

You just go into settings, Wireless and Networks, and turn on your wifi....that is the stock wifi. Easy wifi just turned on along with the stock wifi, which claimed to save information for you meanwhile the stock wifi does that already.

Just chiming in here while NY is away.

Re: deleting Canvas - My recommendation is not to delete it, but rather to 'freeze' it. This will stop it from running in the background and creating force closes with LP. Also, it will stop any widgets you have on your stock launcher from running in the background.

Best to open up Titanium Backup and on the backup/restore tab - select Canvas ....then backup....then touch Canvas again....then freeze.

Thanks Jazzi!!! lol that helped alot. It`s like a new phone. Now if there was only away to bump up the HP!!
 
what do the cpu boost speed up is it just the phone or is it suppose to speed up the 3g connection. i dont think itsdoin nothing for me. first month i got this phone it worked great. that was until i found out unlimited internet was a lie.u only get 1G a month. go over and they slow u down.i got slowed down kool. but now that was 2 month ago now they say im back up to speed but my phone still dont work right......so do the cpu boost help with net speed is what i wont to know. if im in wifi spot it works fine.....

I don't recall him ever mentioning Canvas :P
 
Seems I am the only one who got the free version of Titanium? I tried to freeze canvas and it said freezing was only available with the paid version.
