I have the AdBlock Plus add-on installed in Firefox. Prior to the last change those ads were to get VIP status to remove the ads.
I think that's because you weren't seeing the actual ad content above the shameless plugs. Now the shameless plug isn't there, but your ad blocker is still blocking the ad itself.

You are right codesplice. If I turn off Adblock for the page the ads show up. I just wanted to point out that the get VIP to remove ads message is missing now.

Everything seamed to be there day prior, I downloaded a rom and kernel off the Force thread around three days ago its downloads have been broken ever since.

I normally use Internet Explorer here. I blew the motherboard and must use my phone.
Firefox is pretty good. Chrome is abysmal. Click on a link and get a blank page. Missing functions like mark all read. Then I get messages that Forums app has stopped.
I uninstalled Forums and now Chrome is back to normal.
I have no idea how Forums was getting invoked when I clicked on a link in Chrome.

the app auto switched your preferences when it installed. Change manually in app preferences
I need some guidance. I uninstalled and reinstalled and the problem stopped. It then started again with the forums app that I never asked to be started.
How do I stop it switching to a Forums?
I have looked at every option I could find in Chrome, Forums, and System. The only way I could find to stop it was to uninstall Forums.

no, it doesn't ask for perms before switching link prefs but needs to..
Chrome on phone doesn't have an option to mark all forums read (that I could find).

yes. The app switches link preferences automatically upon installation, without regard to user request (never asks or prompts before doing so. Ever.

If the letters are in blue for the forum, there's a new post. Otherwise you will have to hunt for a post by date or name.
It does need to be fixed, but it seems everyone is concentrating on using the forum app on a phone.
