So right now I can't reproduce the problem until people post some more.As far as I can tell it is working right. It looks to me like what you expect. I'm confused! Can you give an example of what you are expecting to currently being seeing, but aren't?

Narrowing the browser window will do this too. But if to hope was to have more space for messages neither achieves that.If you increase the magnification in the browser does your right column disappear and the 50 item list is moved to the bottom of what was the center column?

Hold down CTRL and press + to increase magnification.I don't know what that is.
In Internet Explorer I can hold down the Ctrl key and then zoom in and out with the ceter roller on the mouse. Eventually the right column disappears and moves. I think extra space for the post is made available in the process. I can of course toggle the left column to make it disappear. Examples ...

But making the page more narrow works also as @Hadron mentioned. They're still on the page, but at the bottom so you don't see them.
