My friend dropped my Incredible yesterday and shattered the front screen. I got the phone the day it came out and must have gotten a piece of a good batch. I've had no problems and have loved the phone. Unfortunately, I don't have insurance...
What am I looking at here? A $500 dollar expense? The same $300 I paid for it? Are there any workarounds? What I did with my Omnia when it would mess up (not any physical damage) was wait for a Verizon OTA and force brick it so I could get a new one. Maybe when they bring Froyo I could do that??
Anybody who has experienced this, without insurance, what did you do? Or am I the only one stupid enough to not get insurance...
Thanks in advance...I'm devastated so any help is greatly appreciated
EDIT:
I found out HTC doesn't service their CDMA phones. A company called PCD does.
Call them to confirm (don't have the phone number) that they can repair what you think is wrong then...
Ship to:
555 Wireless Blvd
Hauppauge, NY 11788
Include:
-Name
-Address
-Summary of problem
Do Not Include:
-Battery
-Battery Door
-SD Card
-Case
-Etc
They will send an invoice, call them to charge to credit/debit over the phone, if not you can send payment by mail. Note: Pay over phone will get everything done faster.
I will update with pics when I get my phone back.
