i am about to go to the thrift store to get some new reading materiel
Finally started book 4 of the 'Lord of the Isles' by David Drake

my thrift store trip was a bust
Moll Flanders, Daniel Defoe.
Not that great to be honest. A bit fast moving and you never really get to know any of the characters. In fact you don't get to know any of their names or indeed the real name of the title character.
Easy to read though. I don't envy the Ulysses reader above. I could barely understand a sentence of that book when I tried. I gave up after about 6 pages. One day when I'm more well read I might give it another go with hopefully a bigger vocabulary and honed reading skills.

It's a crime thriller, I guess. I enjoyed it, although I've never got round to reading any more of the series.
Lol, i couldnt just stop reading a series, wish i could. My OCD kicks in and i plow my way through

It works as a standalone book though really, so I was satisfied enough to leave it

What he said. I literally just bought it this morning since a friend referred me to it. I only like reading suspense/thriller/crime books so it was rather fitting. So far so good though. I like how the main character isn't your typical hero-type though. In fact, he's more like the opposite.

finally finished the gunslinger, second book (name eludes me right now) is much better so far...
You familiar with 'Heat' from J Patterson? Might be right up your alley
